NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Southeast Missouri (4-8-3, 2-4-3 OVC) dropped a 2-1 decision in double overtime to Belmont (6-8-2, 4-5-1 OVC) Thursday at Rosa Park.

Bailey Redden recorded five saves on the night. A few monster saves throughout the evening kept the Bruins from extending their lead earlier. This included a swat in the second overtime period that kept the game tied.
The Redhawks registered 12 shots, five of which were on goal. Belmont countered with 16 shots, including seven on goal.
The first goal of the contest was by the Redhawks when
Esmie Gonzales scored on a header from
Jordan Nelson in the last two minutes of the first half.
Gonzales was fouled right outside the box and received a free kick to set up the goal.
Jermima Job took the kick and passed it to Nelson who was on the right side of the field. Nelson made a pass to Gonzales who headed the ball into the net.
The Bruins tied the game with 11 minutes remaining in regulation off a goal by Julie Garst. The ball crossed Redden and sailed into the net.
The game-winner came during the second overtime at the 100th minute mark on a header by Emily Nguyen. Nguyen scored off of pass from Gentry Davis that was tipped into play by Julie Garst.
SEMO returns to Cape Girardeau to host Austin Peay in its final game of the regular season Sunday. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m., CT, at Houck Field. The Redhawk seniors will be honored prior to kickoff.
