Series History
In 20 all-time meetings with the Racers, the Redhawks stand 11-8-1 in the all-time series. Southeast will look to snap a three-game winless streak against Murray State. Southeast dropped the regular-season meeting in 2015 in Murray then fell in overtime of the OVC Tournament Championship game at the end of the season. The teams played to a 2-2 draw in Cape last season. SEMO is an even 6-6 all-time in Murray.

Scouting the Opponent
The Racers come into Thursday's game with a 7-1-1 record and a 2-0-1 conference clip. Murray's lone loss came in the non-conference finale to Saint Louis, 1-0. The Racers downed Morehead State in overtime on Sept. 14 then played Tennessee Tech to a scoreless draw last Thursday. The Racers powered past Jacksonville State on Sunday putting up three goals in a shutout of the Gamecocks. In nine games, Murray has played just three games at home, going 2-1.
Harriet Withers leads the OVC in goals (9), points (19), and shots (51) this season. Withers tied Murray State's all-time goals record of 34 in Sunday's game. With her goal and assist on Sunday, Withers broke Murray's career points record with her 82nd point as a Racer. Rebecca Kubin has four goals on the season while Miyah Watford has seven points and is the team assist leader with three.

Let's Recap
The Redhawks continued their five-game road stretch last weekend at Morehead State and Eastern Kentucky. Morehead State scored in the 19th minute and held a 1-0 lead until Lauren Kaempfe netted the tying goal with 37 seconds remaining in regulation to force overtime. 20 extra minutes wasn't enough to decide a winner as the teams played to a 1-1 draw. It was a similar story on Saturday, only reversed. Katie Lever scored her first Redhawk goal in the 15th minute to put SEMO ahead 1-0. EKU's Jordan Foster knotted the game up in the 82nd minute to eventually force another double overtime match, Southeast's third of four conference matches. The Redhawks walked away with two ties and two points in the OVC standings on the weekend.

Looking Ahead
Southeast will bring its lengthy road stretch to a close next Friday with a 7 p.m. match at Austin Peay. The Redhawks will return to Houck Field to close out the regular season with four-straight home matches beginning Sunday, Oct. 8 when Belmont comes to Cape.

OVC Co-Defensive Player of the Week
Junior Lauren Kaempfe was named the adidas OVC Co-Defensive Player of the Week. Kaempfe wins the honor for the first time in her career. She came forward on a corner kick to score the game-tying goal at Morehead State on Sept. 22. Kaempfe, who played a total of 175 minutes, was part of a defense that led Southeast to a pair of draws last week. She has been playing on the Redhawks backline much of the 2017 season.

A New All-Time Saves Leader
During Sunday's match at Eastern Kentucky, senior goalkeeper Kindra Lierz recorded her 255th career save, breaking Southeast's all-time saves record. Lierz broke Ashton Aubuchon's (2010-13) record of 254.

A Hundred Home Wins
The Sept. 15 overtime win over Tennessee Tech recorded the 100th win at Houck Field for Southeast Missouri soccer. Houck has been the home of the Redhawks since the inaugural season in 1999. SEMO is 100-40-21 at home in its history.
