RICHMOND, Ky. – Southeast Missouri soccer (4-5-2, 1-1-2) played Eastern Kentucky (5-3-3, 2-0-2) to a 1-1 draw Sunday afternoon.

Early in the match, senior goalkeeper
Kindra Lierz recorded her 255
th career save to break Southeast's all-time saves record, topping Ashton Aubuchon's (2010-13) record of 254.

Lierz played all 110 minutes in net. She allowed one goal and made six saves, tying a season high.

Anna Hall played the entire contest in goal for EKU. She too allowed one goal and made six stops.

The Redhawks outshot the Colonels 15-12 Sunday afternoon. Both teams put seven shots on goal.
Esmie Gonzales tied a career-high eight shots while
Katie Lever also tied a career-best three. Â

Lauren Kaempfe was the lone Redhawk field player to full the entire 110-mimute match.
Lexi Grote played 101 minutes.

Just three minutes into the game, Lierz recorded her record-setting 255
th career save.

Lever netted her first career goal in the 15
th minute.
Lexi Grote threw in to Lever who made a nice falling shot inside the box past a diving Hall to put SEMO on top early. The assist was Grote's first of her freshman season.

Shots were low in the first half as Southeast and EKU each had three. Gonzales had two while Lever made her lone first-half shot count with the goal.

The Colonels were called for nine fouls in the first 45 minutes of play along while the Redhawks committed only three.

With eight minutes to play in regulation, EKU's Jordan Foster netted the equalizer, her fourth goal of the season, to tie the game up at one goal each and forcing the Redhawks' second-straight overtime match.

The second half shot total sat at eight for the Redhawks and six for EKU. Five separate Redhawks took shots in the latter half. Lever and Gonzales each had great looks at shots following the goal but neither found net.

For the second match in a row and third in four conference games, the Redhawks played into overtime.

Gonzales placed a pair of shots on goal in the first overtime period but both were stopped by Hall then added two more shots in the second overtime to bring her shot total to eight.

The Redhawks will play at Murray State Thursday afternoon. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. in Murray, Kentucky.
