Gutierrez & Dorsey Open Redhawks Time At West Prelims

AUSTIN, Texas – Two Redhawks completed their NCAA West Prelim appearances Thursday afternoon at the University of Texas.
Kayla Gutierrez led off Southeast's competitors with a best distance of 177' 2" (54m). Reaching the distance on her first two throws of the days, Gutierrez placed 43rd.
Miya Dorsey ran a 1:04.62 in the 400m hurdles to complete her season with the 37th ranked prelim time.
Tomorrow's action will see Zach Gordon and Brannon Wright in the 200m dash while Christian Locke competes in the pole vault. Pole vault will begin at noon while the 200m opening round will begin at 7:55 p.m.
