
Gordon Advances to Prelim Finals Tomorrow

AUSTIN, Texas - Southeast Missouri's Zach Gordon has advanced to final preliminary round at the NCAA West Prelims.
In order to qualify for the final prelim round, a student-athlete must place in the top-three of their heat or have one the remaining next six best times. In the third heat, Gordon placed second with a time of 20.95 seconds. Overall, his time was the 22nd best of the day.
Brannon Wright also ran in the event, earning the 38th overall time at 21.23 and finishing sixth in his heat.
Earlier in the day, Christian Locke competed in pole vault, but was unable to record a height.
Tomorrow's 200m dash will be held at 7:50 p.m. If Gordon places in the top-12, he will advance to the 2017 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon on June 7-10.
