Redhawks Head to Music City
Southeast Missouri (19-25, 4-12) travels to Tennessee State (12-32, 2-14) Saturday and Belmont (30-17, 6-9) Sunday. Both doubleheaders are scheduled to start at 1 p.m., CT.

Home Finale Cancelled
Southeast's home finale against Saint Louis was cancelled due to heavy rain and thunderstorms Wednesday. The Redhawks were initially scheduled to play a single game with the Billikens.
Final Road Stretch
The Redhawks close out their 2017 regular-season with a six-game road stretch. After playing doubleheaders at Tennessee State and Belmont this weekend, the Redhawks head to UT Martin for their final games of the season May 6.
OVC Update
Southeast enters the weekend at 10th in the Ohio Valley Conference standings with a 4-12 conference record. The Redhawks are currently 2.5 games out of the eighth-place spot, which Belmont (6-9) occupies. Morehead State (5-9) is also ahead of Southeast in the standings with a two-game lead. The top eight teams make the 2017 OVC Softball Championship which will be held at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Alabama May 10-14.
Back-to-Back Splits
The Redhawks split a pair of doubleheaders with Morehead State (Apr. 22) and Eastern Kentucky (Apr. 23) last weekend. Southeast won two one-run games, beating Morehead State, 6-5, in the nightcap and Eastern Kentucky, 2-1, in game one.The Redhawks win over Morehead State snapped an eight-game losing skid.

Nicole Deering and
Aubrey Denno are nearing the end of their Southeast careers. Hoelting, Deering and Denno have combined to play 268 games during their time in a Redhawk uniform. Deering and Denno played four seasons, while Hoelting spent two years at Southeast.
Extra, Extra
Of Southeast's 329 hits this season, 98 have gone for extra bases. The Redhawks have 54 doubles, an Ohio Valley Conference leading 18 triples and 26 home runs. Eleven different players have an extra base hit this year. Freshman outfielder

This Weekend's Opponents
Tennessee State is last in the Ohio Valley Conference with an overall record of 12-32 and 2-14 in league play. The Tigers 32 losses are most in the OVC. TSU recently ended an 11-game losing streak with a 3-2 win at Austin Peay (Apr. 26). The Tigers have scored no more than three runs in each of their last 10 contests and were shutout four times during that span. Meanwhile, Belmont is one of five teams in the conference with 30 or more wins. The Bruins are 30-16 overall and 6-9 in the OVC under first-year head coach Brian Levin. Belmont leads the league in hits (387) and walks (140).
Anderson Delivers Walk-Off Smash
Rachel Anderson, who hits from the left side, belted a three-run home run off the scoreboard in right field to send Southeast to a 6-5 come-from-behind victory over Morehead State (Apr. 22). Anderson was 1-for-5 at the plate before she crushed her team-high fifth home run of the season off Eagles reliever Allison Rager.
Krumrey Pitches Gem
Madeline Krumrey had another sparkling pitching performance when she threw a complete game 2-1 victory against Eastern Kentucky on Apr. 23. Krumrey threw six-straight scoreless frames after falling behind, 1-0, in the first inning. She pitched out of a one-out bases loaded jam in the top of the fourth inning and and got back-to-back outs after EKU had runners at second and third in the fifth. Krumrey then retired the final six hitters she faced. She improved to 11-8 this season and threw her team-high eighth complete game.
19 Wins
Southeast picked up its 19th win of the season when it beat Eastern Kentucky, 2-1, on Apr. 23. The Redhawks currently have a +3 increase in the win column after finishing 16-33 overall in 2016. One more win will give Southeast its most wins in a season under head coach
Mark Redburn.
Bandy Sees Double
Second baseman
Parker Bandy doubled in three of four games last weekend. Bandy recorded three of her four hits in that fashion. She is tied for second on the team with eight doubles this season.

Rookie Sensation
Rachel Anderson is having a stellar rookie campaign. In 44 starts, Anderson leads the Redhawks in batting average (.410), hits (55), doubles (10), triples (7), home runs (5), RBIs (30), total bases (94), slugging percentage (.701), on-base percentage (.480), fielding percentage (.984), multiple-hit games (19) and multi-RBI performances (9). In the Ohio Valley Conference, Anderson ranks among the top-five individuals in batting average (4th), slugging percentage (3rd), on-base percentage (5th), hits (4th), triples (1st) and total bases (2nd). She ranks third in the nation in triples and seventh in triples per game (0.16), as well.
Over .400
Rachel Anderson hit over .400 as Southeast's top hitter all season. Anderson currently has the highest batting average among freshmen in the Ohio Valley Conference with a .410 clip. Murray State's Brenna Finck is behind her with a .400 batting average. The Redhawks last player to hit over .400 in a season was
Savannah Carpenter (.424) in 2014.
Krumrey Picks up 30th Win
Junior pitcher
Madeline Krumrey picked up the 30th win of her Southeast career when she beat Eastern Kentucky (Apr. 23). Krumrey is now 30-34 all-time as a Redhawk. She has also tossed 27 complete games since joining the team in 2015. Krumrey is two wins away from matching her most victories in a season (13 in 2015) during her career.

All four of the Redhawks hitting over .300 this season are newcomers. Freshman

Triple Time
Southeast is first in the Ohio Valley Conference and third the nation with 18 triples this season. The Redhawks had just seven triples in 49 games a year ago. The 2017 Redhawks rank ninth all-time in school history for most triples in a season.
Stolen Bases
Southeast has accumulated 53 stolen bases this year, the second-most in a season under head coach
Mark Redburn. The Redhawks 58 stolen bases a year ago stand as the most during Redburn's tenure.

Rachel Anderson lead the team in that category with 15 and 10 stolen bases, respectively.
