Midweek Doubleheader Rescheduled
Southeast's midweek doubleheader at Missouri, initially scheduled to be play on Apr. 5, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Apr. 18. The Redhawks and Tigers will play at 3 p.m., CT, in Columbia that day.
Back to OVC Play
The Redhawks return to Ohio Valley Conference play against SIU Edwardsville this week. Southeast went 2-2 in league action last weekend. The Redhawks shutout Austin Peay twice en route to a doubleheader sweep for their first conference wins of the season on Apr. 8. Southeast last posted back-to-back shutouts in 2005 when it blanked George Mason (5-0) and Yale (3-0) on Mar. 16.
Home-Openers
With its 7-5 loss to Eastern Illinois (Apr. 1), Southeast fell to 19-7 in home-openers since moving to the NCAA Division I level in 1992. The Redhawks are 137-131 (.511) all-time at the Southeast Softball Complex.
Remaining Schedule
The Redhawks have eight doubleheaders left on their 2017 schedule. Southeast faces Missouri (Apr. 18) and Saint Louis (Apr. 26) in midweek action. The Redhawks have SIU Edwardsville (Apr. 14), Morehead State (Apr. 22), Eastern Kentucky (Apr. 23), Tennessee State (Apr. 29), Belmont (Apr. 30) and UT Martin (May 2) remaining in Ohio Valley Conference play.

The Redhawks face both Southern Illinois schools this week. Southeast fell to Southern Illinois Carbondale, 3-1, Wednesday. The Redhawks head to SIU Edwardsville to square off against the Cougars, who have the Ohio Valley Conference's best record at 32-8.

Edwardsville, Illinois is home to Southeast freshman outfielder
Rachel Anderson. Anderson is having a stellar rookie season for the Redhawks. She currently ranks second in the Ohio Valley Conference in batting average (.432) and leads the league in triples (7). Anderson is also second among conference leaders in slugging percentage (.739), fourth in on-base percentage (.492), tied for third in hits (48) and third in total bases (82). She tops the Redhawks with 18 multiple-hit games and eight multi-RBI contests. Anderson was named the St. Louis Post-Dispatch All-Metro Spring Softball Player of the Year and earned First-Team Illinois Coaches Association Class 4A All-State honors at Edwardsville High School. She hit .543 with a .922 slugging percentage and set new school records in runs scored (52) and triples (9) during her senior year.
Hoelting Tosses No-Hitter
Left-hander
Mackenzie Hoelting threw a complete game no-hitter to lead Southeast Missouri to a 4-0 victory over Austin Peay (Apr. 8). Hoelting threw the first no-hitter of her career and Southeast's first this season. She matched a career-high four strikeouts and faced 25 hitters along the way. Only four Governors reached base against Hoelting as her first career win came in no-hit fashion. Hoelting became the third different pitcher to throw a no-hitter in the Ohio Valley Conference this season. In all, there have been five no-hitters thrown by OVC pitchers in 2017.
10-Game Winner
Pitcher
Madeline Krumrey picked up her 10th win of the season when she struck out three and allowed just two hits in seven innings against Austin Peay (Apr. 8). Krumrey leads the Redhawks in wins, strikeouts (68), innings (99), games started (18), complete games (7) and shutouts (3) this season. It is the second time in her career where Krumrey has won 10 or more games in a season.

Southeast picked up its 17th win of the season when it shutout Austin Peay in game one of a doubleheader on Apr. 8. With the victory, the Redhawks surpassed their win total from last season (16). It marked Southeast's sixth shutout victory of the year.
Krumrey Dazzles
Madeline Krumrey pitched a complete game gem in game one of Southeast's 3-0 win over Austin Peay (Apr. 8). Krumrey allowed just two hits and struck out three en route to tossing her team-high third shutout and seventh complete game this season. She retired the first nine hitters she faced and threw 4.2 no-hit innings against the Governors.
Life on the Road
Southeast plays its 30th game outside of Cape Girardeau when it visits SIU Edwardsville Friday. The Redhawks are 5-6 in true road games and 10-8 in games played at neutral sites this year.

Sarah Messex started every game of her Southeast career to date. Messex enters Friday's twin bill with a streak of 85 consecutive starts. She has the longest games started streak of any Redhawk and is one of three players on this year's team to start every contest.

Third baseman
Darby Pruett is presently the Redhawks top hitter in Ohio Valley Conference games only. Pruett is hitting .407 with a double, two home runs and four RBIs in 10 league starts. She leads Southeast with a .667 slugging percentage and .448 on-base percentage, as well.
Gallo Notches Season-High
Freshman outfielder
Claudia Gallo notched a season-high three hits in her first career multiple-hit performance against Austin Peay (Apr. 8). Gallo finished at 3-for-4 with a triple, run scored and RBI. She has started each of the last seven games in left field.

Freshman
Rachel Anderson ranks third in the nation with seven triples through 36 games. Anderson's seven triples are the most in a season by a Southeast player since Kelsey White had seven in 55 games during the 2000 campaign. As a team, the Redhawks are fourth among NCAA Division I teams in triples per game (0.44).
Triple Time
Southeast is first in the Ohio Valley Conference and third the nation with 16 triples this season. The Redhawks had just seven triples in 49 games a year ago. The 2017 Redhawks rank ninth all-time in school history for most triples in a season.
Stolen Bases
Southeast has accumulated 48 stolen bases this year, the second-most in a season under head coach
Mark Redburn. The Redhawks 58 stolen bases a year ago stand as the most during Redburn's tenure.
