Ashton Luttrull recorded a career-best 23 points and drained seven 3-pointers in Southeast Missouri's 82-73 loss to UT Martin (10-17, 7-7) Saturday at the Show Me Center.

Southeast falls to 12-15 on the season and 6-8 in Ohio Valley Conference action.

Luttrull's career 23 points and seven made 3-point buckets were complemented by a near triple-double performance from
Bri Mitchell. The senior had 15 points, 10 assists, and a career-best nine rebounds.

The Redhawks also had
Hannah Noe (11) and
Dolapo Balogun (10) reach double-figure points. Balogun's 10 points were a career-high with six rebounds.

After hitting 17 3-pointers last Saturday at Eastern Illinois, the Redhawks had 13 Saturday against the Skyhawks. The Redhawks took a program record 41 shots from beyond the arc.

The Redhawks narrowly outrebounded the Skyhawks, 38-37. SEMO grabbed 11 offensive rebounds for 10 second chance points.

Southeast picked up right where it left off a week ago from beyond the arc, draining five 3-pointers in the opening stanza. The Redhawks' first three field goals were all from long range to go up 9-6 on the Skyhawks. UT Martin used two runs of eight points each in the latter half of the quarter to lead by five, 22-17, with 1:33 to play. The first quarter finished with SEMO down three, 24-21.

Mitchell and Noe each had six points in the stanza. 14 of the Redhawks' 19 total shots were from beyond the arc.

The Redhawks were outscored 18-12 in the second quarter as UT Martin pulled ahead 42-33 going into halftime. The Skyhawks used an 11-3 run to open the frame and go ahead 35-24 on Southeast. The Redhawks were able to cut the sudden lead to six with 2:22 to play but the Skyhawks held a nine-point advantage at halftime.

Mitchell's double-digit point streak was extended to eight games with 13 first-half points, leading the team in the category. Despite not scoring,
Adrianna Murphy had a team-high four rebounds while handing out four assists.

At halftime, Southeast was being outshot by 13 percent, 47.1-34.3. The Redhawks took only five 3-point shots in the second compared to their 14 in the first.

The Redhawks came out and won the third quarter, 24-15, to make it a whole new ballgame going into the final 10 minutes. The Redhawks and Skyhawks nearly went bucket-for-bucket in the stanza but Southeast made it count draining six shots from 3-point range of the nine field goals they made. Five of Luttrull's seven three's came in the third, draining four in a row. The score was all knotted up at 57 at the conclusion of the third.

 Southeast began the fourth going up by four on a 7-3 run, 64-60; however, three-straight 3-pointers by UT Martin put the Skyhawks back up by five with 4:35 to play. The sudden onslaught from UTM was too much for the Redhawks as SEMO would be outscored 25-16 in the final quarter. Despite fouling late, UTM was able to make free throws and stay out in front, securing the 82-73 win.

Freshman Kendall Spray had 26 points and went a perfect 8-for-8 from the 3-point arc. Janekia Mason had 10 points and 10 rebounds while Ashton Feldhaus put up 17 points.

Southeast Missouri will play the final road game of the regular season Wednesday at Murray State. Tipoff from Murray, Kentucky is set for 6:00 p.m.
