CHARLESTON, Ill. –

Â
The Redhawks improve to 12-14 on the season and 6-7 in Ohio Valley Conference play. For the second time this season and only the first time in conference play, the Redhawks have won back-to-back games, going 2-0 against the OVC's Illinois schools this week. The win snapped a eight-game losing streak to EIU on the road. It was the first since Jan. 5, 2008.
Â
Southeast tied the school record with 107 points in a game for the second time this season; however, it's the most points scored by Southeast against a Division I opponent in its history. It was the first time SEMO has put up 100 points on a Division I opponent since defeating Tennessee Tech on Jan. 10, 2004, 102-90. The Redhawks also set a new school record with 17 made 3-pointers Saturday, topping the old record of 16.

Â
Southeast dominated the boards on Saturday, 39-22. Three Redhawks co-led the team in rebounding with six each:
Mandy Madden,
Dolapo Balogun, and Jones. 13 offensive rebounds resulted in 19 second-chance points for SEMO.
Â
The Redhawks' 59.4% (38-of-64) field goal percentage and 53.1% (17-of-32) 3-point shooting was a season-high in conference play and the best against a Division I opponent this season.
Â
Southeast forced 17 Panther turnovers, resulting in 30 points off turners. The Redhawk bench had 37 points Saturday.
Â
The game started with Mitchell shooting free-throws before it even began due to clock issues that resulted in a technical foul on EIU. Southeast began the game hitting three-consecutive 3-pointers from Mitchell, Noe, and Leyhue to go up 10-6. Eight straight points from SEMO helped go ahead 22-10 with 1:48 to play in the opening stanza. Murphy closed the first quarter with SEMO's fifth 3-pointer as time expired to lead 25-14 on the Panthers.
Â
Mitchell and Noe each had six points while Murphy and Leyhue had five apiece.
Â
Southeast opened the second quarter with eight unanswered points to keep widening the lead to 33-14. The Redhawks found their largest lead of the half of 22 following eight-straight points capped by a Jones layup, 43-21. Eastern Illinois began to chip away at the Redhawk lead the second half of the second quarter but Southeast led 55-37 at halftime.
Â
Noe entered halftime with 17 first-half points with five made 3-pointers. Jones had eight points in the second quarter to go to halftime with 10 points, extending her double-digit point streak to three games.
Â
The Redhawks' 55 first-half points was the most scored on a Division I opponent this season. The previous mark was 49 against Evansville on Nov. 20.
Â
SEMO came out on top in the third quarter, 27-17. A 14-2 run put the Redhawks up 73-44 with 2:42 to play in the third. Southeast went into the fourth quarter leading the Panthers, 82-54.

Â
Noe's record-tying ninth 3-pointer came with 7:05 to play in the fourth quarter, widening the lead to 91-59. A layup by Madden with 3:51 to play tipped the century mark for the Redhawks. Her layup was part of an 11-3 run to end the game. Gulley hit her third 3-pointer to cap scoring at 107-65.
Â
