Southeast Missouri volleyball returns home to host Ohio Valley Conference play against Eastern Illinois and SIUE. The Redhawks take on the Panthers Friday at 6:30 p.m. before closing out the weekend against the Cougars at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Scouting the Panthers
EIU enters the weekend on a four-game losing streak. Most recently, the Panthers fell in a midweek contest against Indiana State after dropping OVC matches against SIUE and Belmont. SEMO and EIU battled to five sets during both meetings last year with the two squads splitting victories. Taylor Smith and Maria Brown lead EIU offensively with 131 kills each (2.08 per set). Smith also leads the team in assists (265) and digs (177)

Scouting the Cougars

SIUE will travel to UT Martin on Friday afternoon to battle the Skyhawks after winning their previous two contests. The Cougars are currently 2-0 in OVC play from victories over EIU and Tennessee State. Last year, SEMO and SIUE split their season series. Ashley Witt leads the Cougars in kills (147) followed closely by Taylor Joens (145).
