Redhawks Wrap Up Regular Season
Southeast Missouri (15-31, 9-15) wraps up its regular-season schedule when it visits Eastern Illinois (21-25, 15-7) for a three-game series this weekend. The Redhawks and Panthers will play a doubleheader at 1 p.m., CT, Saturday before concluding their series at Noon Sunday.

Winning Streak
Southeast carries a two-game winning streak into its final weekend of the regular season. The Redhawks took two of three from Austin Peay during their last home series on Apr. 29-30. It is the fifth time Southeast has won back-to-back games this year.

Weekend Matchup
The Redhawks, currently 10th in the Ohio Valley Conference standings, gear up to face one of the hottest teams in the league in Eastern Illinois. EIU, which is third behind Jacksonville State and Eastern Kentucky, has won 13 of its last 15 games and claimed series victories against each of its last five conference opponents.

OVC Tournament Picture
Southeast still has a chance to get one of the four remaining spots in this year's Ohio Valley Conference Tournament set for May 11-14 in Oxford, Alabama. Jacksonville State clinched the 2016 regular-season title and will head to the league's postseason tournament as the No. 1 seed. Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Illinois and SIU Edwardsville are also in.

Redburn Gets 200th Win
Southeast head coach Mark Redburn picked up his 200th career victory when the Redhawks beat Austin Peay, 7-4, on Apr. 30. Redburn is currently 200-285 in 12 years as a head coach. He compiled 34 wins at Southeast (2015-present), 90 at Evansville (2010-2014), 49 at Jefferson College (2005-2006) and 27 at St. Charles Community College (2002-2004).

Series History
The Redhawks own a 40-32 advantage in their all-time series against Eastern Illinois. Southeast won its three-game series against the Panthers in Cape Girardeau last season. EIU then eliminated the Redhawks from the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament with a 10-9 victory in 12 innings.

You Can Do It
Southeast is coming off a series win over Austin Peay and heads to Eastern Illinois looking to claim its second-straight series victory. The Redhawks have not posted back-to-back series wins all season. In fact, Southeast beat APSU and EIU for its last consecutive series wins in 2015.

Home Run Hitters
Seniors Haylee Krack (18) and Savannah Carpenter (17) have combined for 35 home runs in their Southeast careers. Krack and Carpenter lead the Redhawks with eight and seven homers, respectively, this season. Krack is now fifth all-time in career home runs at Southeast, while Carpenter is next to join that list.

Krumrey Saves
Madeline Krumrey came out of the bullpen to pick up her team-high second save of the season when she tossed two scoreless no-hit innings against Austin Peay (Apr. 30). Krumrey retired all six of the hitters she faced, struck out three and did not allow a walk. It was her first career save in Ohio Valley Conference play.

Now Approaching
Sophomore Madeline Krumrey is just four strikeouts away from getting 100 for her career in Ohio Valley Conference games. Overall, Krumrey has 179 strikeouts in two years at Southeast and needs 21 more to reach the 200 mark.

Stealin' the Show
Claire Wernig has stolen a base in five of her last six starts. Wernig recently had five stolen bases during Southeast's series win over Austin Peay (Apr. 29-30). She tied a single-game school record and established a new career-high with three stolen bases in game three. Wernig leads the Redhawks with 13-of-16 stolen bases this season and is 19-of-22 in that category for her career.

Starting Streak
Right fielder Claire Wernig has started 52-consecutive games, currently the longest streak of any active player. Wernig and shortstop Sarah Messex are the only two Redhawks who started every game in 2016. Wernig leads Southeast in batting average (.327), at-bats (159), runs (32), hits (52) and multiple-hit games (17). She also held a career-long 12-game hitting streak from Mar. 20-Apr. 9, the first double-digit game hitting streak by a Redhawk since 2012 (Taylor Cowan).

Extra, Extra
The Redhawks racked up a series-high 16 extra base hits against Austin Peay (Apr. 29-30). Southeast had 11 doubles, a triple and four home runs in three games. The Redhawks eight doubles in game three of the series marked a season-best.

Over 30
Southeast presently has 33 home runs and ranks third among Ohio Valley Conference leaders in that category. The Redhawks hit 30 or more home runs for the fourth-straight year. Southeast's 39 homers in 2015 were fourth-most in a season. Ten different Redhawks have homered this year.

Freshman Starter
Sarah Messex is on her way to becoming the second-straight freshman to start every game in a season. Messex has started all 46 games this year, including 43 at shortstop, two at catcher and one in center field. Taylor McDannold also started every game in 2015 with 33 of her starts in left field, 10 at shortstop and three in right field.

Senior Salute
This weekend could mark the final games for Southeast seniors Savannah Carpenter and Haylee Krack. Carpenter holds a career batting average of .340 with 62 run scored, 152 hits, 25 doubles, a triple, 17 home runs and 86 RBIs in 158 games and 150 starts. Krack boasts a .295 batting average with 66 hits, 37 runs scored, 12 doubles, 18 home runs and 52 RBIs in 85 games and 81 starts over two years.

Thogmartin Wins
Freshman Haley Thogmartin has picked up a win in three of her last four starts. Thogmartin recently worked five innings with three strikeouts to earn her team-high ninth victory of the season vs. Austin Peay (Apr. 29). She also beat Tennessee Tech (Apr. 10) and Eastern Kentucky (Apr. 23) during that stretch. She is 9-9 with a 4.12 ERA, 50 strikeouts, 93.1 innings and five complete games through 24 appearances and 17 starts this season. Thogmarten also holds a 6-3 record with four of her complete games in Ohio Valley Conference play.

Season-Best
Southeast put up a season-high 15 runs in its 15-6 five-inning win over Austin Peay (Apr. 29). It marked the third time and first in Ohio Valley Conference play where the Redhawks scored double-digit runs this year. Southeast also outhit its opponent in six of its last seven contests.

Let's Turn Two
The Redhawks rank 19th in the nation in double plays per game. Southeast has turned 22 double plays (0.48 avg.) in 46 games this season, 12 more than it did a year ago (10). The last time the Redhawks had more than 20 double plays in a season was 2011 (31).
