MARTIN, Tenn. – Southeast Missouri (12-26, 6-10) suffered a pair of late-inning losses to UT Martin (25-18, 9-7) Saturday.

Carly Gonzales hit the game-winning single with no outs in the bottom of the ninth inning to lead UTM to a 1-0 victory in game one.

After being one-hit and held scoreless for eight innings, Alicia Hansen hit a leadoff double in the ninth. Savannah Dodson moved Hansen to third on a bunt single and stole second. With runners on second and third, Gonzales singled up the middle, giving the Skyhawks the walk-off win.

A nice pitcher's duel between Brooke Kennedy and
Madeline Krumrey got the game to extra innings.

Kennedy allowed just three hits, walked two and struck out 11 in her complete game shutout, while Krumrey scattered four hits (three in the ninth inning), struck out one and walked one in eight frames. Krumrey also recorded 11 groundball outs and faced 28 hitters.

Kennedy improved to 13-8 with the win and Krumrey fell to 5-10.

Southeast left six runners on base, including three in scoring position. As a team, the Redhawks hit just .100 (3-for-30) against Kennedy.

Claire Wernig went 2-for-4 and
Danielle Turner followed with a hit to lead Southeast.

The Redhawks lost in walk-off fashion and were shutout for the fourth time this season.Â
Riley Hayes gave Southeast a 1-0 lead on a two-out solo home run in the top of the fourth inning, but UTM rallied back to complete its doubleheader sweep in the nightcap.
Gracyn McBride tied the game with a leadoff home run in the bottom of the fifth and took the lead for good on a two-run homer by Gonzales in the sixth.
Southeast threatened with the bases loaded and two outs in the top of the seventh, but came up empty.
Katie Warrick (2-1) picked up the complete game win, giving up six hits and one run. Warrick struck out five and walked one, as well.
Mackenzie Hoelting (0-6) suffered the loss, allowing two runs on one hit in two relief innings.
Southeast outhit UTM, 6-4, with Hayes and Hoelting each going 2-for-3 to lead the way.
The Redhawks, who have lost four in a row, wrap up their series against the Skyhawks Sunday.
