Redhawks Wrap Up Three Meets Saturday

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast Missouri's Track & Field teams completed competition in three separate meets Saturday afternoon to close the weekend.
Hendrix Spring Break Multis
In Conway, Arkansas, Taylor Coffelt claimed first in the women's heptathlon (4575 points) as Macy Ritter (3772) took second place. Combined, either Coffelt or Ritter took first in every event in the heptathlon except the 800m, which they placed second and third.
In the men's decathlon, Christopher Davis finished in fourth with 5507 points. His top finishes in the series of events were first in the men's 400m (51.78) and first in the 110m hurdles (16.21). Duncan Ross closely trailed in the competition taking fifth with 5392 points. Ross was able to earn the top height in pole vault at 4.45m.
Arkansas Spring Invitational
Three Redhawks competed in the women's 3000m steeple, with Lindsey Seabaugh earning the top time at 12:02.82 for ninth in the event. On the men's side, Jace Mortimer took fifth with a time of 9:57.79.
Megan Parks took sixth in the 1500m run with the time of 4:43.71. Kaitlyn Shea followed closely in seventh at 4:45.59. Parks ran again in the 800m, finishing in 2:17.84 to place fourth.
Marc Maton (3:50.80) took sixth in the seeded 1500m run. Dan Plunkett (4:03.48) and James Kosbar (4:15.56) also ran in the unseeded portion of the event. Plunkett made a second appearance in the 800m, earning a time of 2:02.06.
Kayla Heidelberg (12.49) and Mikayla Logan (13.01) both ran in the 100m dash. For the men, Chris Martin finished with a dash time of 10.90 seconds.
Sidne' Willamson also joined Logan and Heidelberg in the long jump. Willamson earned the top Redhawk distance of 5.36m, while Logan and Heidelberg earned marks of 5.33m and 5.26m, respectively. Willamson also competed in the 200m dash, earning a time of 25.94.
Sydney O'Brien took placed eight in the 3000m run with a time of 10:17.12. Angela Sumner and Rachel Hutchcraft also competed, earning times of 10:32.67 and 11:08.31, respectively. Craig Munie earned a time of 8:49.86 on the men's side of the event.
Both Chris Martin (6.97m) and Tre Curry (6.56m) made appearances in the men's long jump. Curry competed again in the triple jump, reaching a distance of 13.49m
In women's triple jump, N'Kia Jones earned fifth by leaping 11.91m.
Jacqueline Jeschka and Haley Holton both posted heights of 3.10m in pole vault. Dylan Rush led Southeast for the men's end, taking seventh with a height of 4.75m. Tyler Jourdan also earned a mark of 4.30m in the event.
Dalton Huffman was the lone high jumper, finishing with at the height of 1.90m.
Andrew Ryan took sixth in javelin, with his throw measuring 50.97m.
Kevin Farley took first in shot put with a toss of 17.96m. Farley also placed second in the discus (54.18m, while Jason Walker took seventh (48.55m).
Aaliah Herron finished seventh for the women's team (14.26m) while Paden Wachter took ninth (13.14m). Both returned to compete in the discus throw, with Herron's toss of 39.65m taking 13th being closely followed by Wachter at 37.80m.
Yesterday, Wachter (47.89m) finished eighth in women's hammer throw. Herron also took part in the event, earning a mark of 35.05m. Farley finished third in the hammer with a mark of 59.27m. Stephen Zagurski took ninth with a 54.57m toss and Walker finished 14th with a 50.35M throw.
SIU Bill Cornell Spring Classic
Shane Brown took fifth in the 3000m steeple (10:04.39).
Kameron Long (4:28.70), Jordan Brown (4:29.13) and Cole Davis (4:43.06) all participated in the 1500m run.
Nicholas Yaeger finished the 800m with a time of 2:05.03.
Next Weekned
The Redhawks will return home to host the Drury Hotels Joey Haines Invitational on April 1-2. Both men's and women's hammer throw and 10,000m runs will be held on Friday while the remaining events will take place Saturday begining at 11 a.m.
