CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast Missouri's Track & Field teams opened competition at two separate meets Friday afternoon.

Hendrix Spring Break Multis
Four Redhawks traveled to Hendrix College to compete in a multi's based competition in Conway, Arkansas.

After four events, Taylor Coffelt (2781 points) and Macy Ritter (2706) hold first and second in the women's heptathlon, respectively.

In the men's decathlon, Christopher Davis is currently second with 3172 points. Duncan Ross also competed, earning 2751 to end day one in fifth place. Both men's and women's events will conclude Saturday.

In the women's hammer throw, Paden Wachter (47.89m) finished eighth. Aaliah Herron also took part in the event, earning a mark of 35.05m.

Kevin Farley finished third in the hammer with a mark of 59.27m. Stephen Zagurski took ninth with a 54.57m toss and Jason Walker finished 14th with a 50.35M throw.

Other events held on Friday were part the women's heptathlon and men's decathlon, neither of which had participating Redhawks. Competition will resume Saturday morning, however, the first event with a member of Southeast Missouri competing won't begin until 12:30 p.m.

Tomorrow
While both meets will conclude Saturday, a third involving several Redhawks will be held in Carbondale, Illinois. The SIU Bill Cornell Spring Classic is set to begin at 9:00 a.m.
