Southeast Missouri (5-10) opens Ohio Valley Conference play against Eastern Kentucky (7-8) on New Year's Eve Saturday. Tip-off is set for 2:30 p.m., CT, at the Show Me Center.

Series History
Eastern Kentucky owns a 29-16 lead in its all-time series against Southeast. The Redhawks have not beaten EKU in four years and are on a six-game losing skid against the Colonels. Southeast last defeated EKU at the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament in 2011-12 (75-65). The Colonels won in each of their last five trips to Cape Girardeau.
Conference Openers
The Redhawks are 9-16 all-time in Ohio Valley Conference openers. Southeast opened league play with a win in two of the last five seasons. The Redhawks are 12-12 in OVC home-openers, losing to Belmont, 92-82, the last time they began conference play at the Show Me Center. Southeast last opened league play with a win on Dec. 29, 2012 (65-60, vs. UT Martin).
New Year's Eve Games
Southeast is 0-4 all-time in New Year's Eve games. This year marks the second-straight where the Redhawks play on New Year's Eve. Southeast dropped its last New Year's Eve meeting to Belmont, 92-82, in Cape Girardeau last season.
Redhawks End Losing Streak
The Redhawks snapped a season-long seven-game losing streak when it beat Henderson State, 89-75, Thursday. Southeast improved to 2-7 in December.

Southeast had five players finish with double figures in the scoring column for the second time this season.
Antonius Cleveland,
Jamaal Calvin and
Denzel Mahoney each scored 18 points, and
Milos Vranes and
Jaylen Benton added 12 and 10, respectively, against Henderson State (12/29). The Redhawks also had five players score double figures vs. Hannibal-LaGrange (11/13).
Cleveland Clears 200 Assists
Antonius Cleveland dished out a team-high five assists against Henderson State (12/29), and, as a result, went over 200 in his career. Cleveland now stands with 202 assists in his career.
100 for Calvin
Jamaal Calvin made each of his first five 3-pointers and finished 6-of-8 with 18 points from beyond the arc against Henderson State (12/29). Calvin made the 100th three-pointer of his career with 15:20 remaining in the first half of that game. He leads the Redhawks with 27 threes this season.
More Season-Highs
Southeast reached new season-highs in points and field goal percentage in its latest win over Henderson State (12/29). The Redhawks scored 89 points and shot 56.9 percent (33-of-58). It was the fifth time Southeast scored over 80 points this season.
Non-Division I
Southeast won its 25th straight game against a non-Division I opponent when it beat Henderson State, 89-75, on Dec. 29. The Redhawks haven't lost to a non-Division I program since 2001-02 (51-62, vs. Birmingham Southern on Nov. 16).

Antonius Cleveland scored double figures in 25-straight games and 32 of his last 33 starts. Cleveland leads the Redhawks with 69 double-digit scoring games and eight double-doubles in his career. He began the 2016-17 campaign with 10 points and scored the Redhawks first eight points of the season at Illinois (Nov. 11). It is the longest double-digit scoring streak of his career.
First in the OVC
Southeast leads the Ohio Valley Conference in total steals (123). The Redhawks are averaging 8.2 steals per game.
Highly Active
Antonius Cleveland is second among Ohio Valley Conference active career leaders in points (1,275), rebounds (476) and steals (132). Cleveland also ranks third in assists (202) and blocks (60).
Trey Kellum and
Jamaal Calvin are among the league's active career leaders, as well. Kellum is 14th in rebounds (209) and Calvin is 10th in assists (152), fourth in steals (81) and seventh in 3-pointers made (105).
