Redhawks Head to Little Rock
•    Southeast Missouri (17-11, 12-5) wraps up its season-long four-game road stretch at Little Rock (11-17, 8-9) Saturday. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m., CT at Jack Stephens Center.
•    SEMO moved into a tie for first in the Ohio Valley Conference standings following its 56-53 overtime road win at UT Martin (Feb. 17).
•    The Redhawks are 2-1 during their current road trip.

Series Notes
•    Saturday's game marks the 13th meeting between Southeast Missouri and Little Rock.
•    The series stands tied at 6-6.
•    SEMO won the last three matchups of the series with a 57-45 victory in Little Rock on Feb. 11, 2025, a 78-59 win over the Trojans in the semifinals of the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament on Mar. 7, 2025 and a 70-65 victory in Cape Girardeuau on Jan. 22, 2026.
•    The Redhawks are 2-3 against Little Rock at the Jack Stephens Center.
•    SEMO moved into sole possession of first in the OVC with its win over the Trojans there last season.

Wild OVC Race
•    Southeast Missouri, Tennessee State and Morehead State are in a three-way tie for first in the Ohio Valley Conference standings with 12-5 records.
•    UT Martin (12-6) is in fourth, while SIU Edwardsville (10-7) and Lindenwood (10-7) are close behind.
•    Little Rock (8-9) holds the seventh spot on the OVC leaderboard with three games remaining in regular-season action.

Eight of Nine
•    The Redhawks won eight of their last nine games and enter the weekend on a two-game winning streak.
•    Southeast Missouri saw a season-long six-game winning streak end at SIU Edwardsville (Feb. 12).
•    SEMO upended OVC leader UT Martin, 66-50, on Jan. 20 and second-place Little Rock, 70-65, on Jan. 22.
•    The Redhawks snapped UTM's seven-game winning streak and ended LR's four-game winning streak.
•    SEMO followed that up by handing Western Illinois its 11th-straight loss with a score of 78-74 on Jan. 29 and took down Eastern Illinois, 77-59, on Jan. 31.
•    The Redhawks then beat Morehead State, 82-70, on Feb. 5, Southern Indiana, 90-65, on Feb. 7, Lindenwood, 73-61, on Feb. 14 and UT Martin, 56-53 (OT), on Feb. 17 for their other victories.

Redhawks Grind Out Win at UT Martin
•    Southeast Missouri moved to first in the Ohio Valley Conference earlier this week with a close 56-53 overtime victory at UT Martin (Feb. 17).
•    BJ Ward paved the way with 15 points and Brendan Terry added 14.
•    Both teams shot under 30 percent from the field and the Redhawks came away with their big road win despite committing 19 turnovers.
•    SEMO gave Brad Korn his first win at the Elam Center, where the Redhawks had not won in seven-straight trips.
•    The Redhawks last win over the Skyhawks in Martin also came in overtime fashion by a score of 81-77 on Feb. 10, 2018. 

Four Sweeps
•    The Redhawks completed their fourth two-game sweep of an Ohio Valley Conference opponent with their 56-53 overtime win at UT Martin (Feb. 17).
•    It marked the first time Southeast Missouri beat UTM twice in a season since 2012-13.
•    SEMO also swept Western Illinois, Eastern Illinois and Southern Indiana in those home-and-home series this year.
•    SEMO's wins at WIU (Jan. 29) and EIU (Jan. 31) gave Brad Korn his first road sweep of the Leathernecks and Panthers in his head coaching career.
•    A win over Little Rock Saturday will give the Redhawks another sweep in 2025-26.

Last Time vs. Little Rock
•    Luke Almodovar finished with a double-double 13 points and 10 rebounds and Landren Blocker added 13 points in Southeast Missouri's 70-65 win over Little Rock on Jan. 22.
•    SEMO withstood an 11-2 LR run that dropped the Redhawks lead to 67-63 with less than a minute on the clock.
•    BJ Ward's pull-up jumper gave the Redhawks a 69-63 edge 27 seconds later and Ward scored SEMO's final point on a free throw to ice the victory.

Korn vs. Little Rock
•    Brad Korn is 5-3 vs. Little Rock as Southeast Missouri's head coach.
•    Eight of the program's first 12 games against Little Rock were played with Korn at the helm.

February Games
•    The Redhawks are 4-1 in February with home wins over Morehead State (Feb. 5) and Southern Indiana (Feb. 7), a road loss at SIU Edwardsville (Feb. 12) and
road victories at Lindenwood (Feb. 12) and UT Martin (Feb. 17).
•    Four of Southeast Missouri's February games were decided by double-digits.

Ward Heating Up
•    BJ Ward scored 18 first-half points and finished with a team-high 20 at SIU Edwardsville (Feb. 12).
•    Ward made four 3-pointers in the first half against the Cougars.
•    He shot 8-of-17 from the field, 4-of-8 from 3-point range and dished out two assists.
•    It was Ward's third 20-point game this season and fourth of his career.
•    Two days later, he finished with 17 points at Lindenwood (Feb. 14). He then added 15 points at UT Martin (Feb. 17).
•    Ward scored double figures in each of his last five starts.

About Little Rock
•    Since Southeast Missouri beat Little Rock on Jan. 22, the Trojans have gone 2-7 in their last nine contests.
•    The Trojans won two of their last three games beating Western Illinois, 77-58, on Feb. 12 and UT Martin, 67-65, on Feb. 19.
•    LR leads the Ohio Valley Conference in 3-point field goal percentage (.357). 
•    Johnathan Lawson ranks fourth in the OVC in scoring with 16.2 points per game. Lawson also tops the league with 74 three-pointers made.
