Southeast Missouri volleyball will travel to take on SIUE and Eastern Illinois in the final regular season road trip of the season. Friday's contest against the Cougars will begin at 7 p.m. while Saturday's match against the Panthers is set for 6 p.m. Both matches will be broadcasted on the OVC Digital Network.

Scouting the Cougars
SIUE enters the weekend on a six match losing streak, most recently sweeping both Belmont and EIU. Taylor Joens leads the Cougars offensively, registering 253 kills on the year. Katie Shashack is averaging 4.64 digs per set (413 total digs) while Carley Ramich averages 1.19 blocks per set (101 total blocks) this season. Earlier this season, SEMO fell at home to SIUE in five sets (Oct. 1).

Scouting the Panthers
EIU currently is riding a three-match losing streak after being swept by both SIUE and Tennessee State. Maria Brown leads the Panthers with 231 kills while Lindsey Powers has tallied 326 digs to lead the defense. Southeast was able to snap its longest losing streak in school history against EIU earlier this year, sweeping the Panthers on Sept. 30.

Last Weekend Recap
The Redhawks fell to Murray State in straight sets on Friday night before taking Austin Peay to the limit on Saturday, eventually falling in five sets.

Krissa Gearring led offensively with 30 kills (3.75 per set), earning 34 total points while registering double-doubles in both matches (22 total digs). Nzingha Clarke followed with 22 kills, adding five blocks to earn 25 points through both games.

Marie Less led defensively with 29 digs (4.14 per set) followed by Katarina Rotta with 27. Krista Berns and Jessica McElderry both were able to tally seven total blocks on the weekend.

Numbers at a Glance
Gearring currently ranks eighth in the nation in total kills (434) and 25th in kills per set (4.30). Both marks lead the OVC. She currently sits 11th in the NCAA DI rankings in points at 473.

Clarke's hitting percentage of .278 ranks seventh in the OVC.

Jade Mortimer ranks 87th in the country in digs per set at 4.65 (4th in OVC). Her OVC-leading season total of 455 digs ranks 36th in the nation.

Looking Ahead
Southeast returns home for a midweek match against UT Martin on Tuesday, Nov. 8, at 6:30 p.m. and will close the regular season by hosting Tennessee Tech on Saturday, Nov. 12.
