Quick Kicks
Southeast Missouri women's soccer (7-4-4, 1-2-3) is back in action this weekend on the road and at home.
 
The Redhawks will travel to Tennessee Tech on Friday for a 3 p.m. matchup. Friday's contest will be the final road match of the regular season for the Redhawks.
 
Southeast will return to Houck Stadium on Sunday to begin the final three regular season matches of the season. The Redhawks will host Eastern Kentucky at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
 
Both matches this weekend will be streamed live and for free on the OVC Digital Network.
 
Carli Lloyd Signed Flag Giveaway
One lucky fan will have a chance to win a soccer flag signed by Carli Lloyd, member of the U.S. Women's National Team, at Southeast's home match on Oct. 16 against Eastern Kentucky. Fans can sign up to win at the gate that day.
 
Series Histories
Tennessee Tech
Southeast holds an all-time lead over Tennessee Tech, 13-5-2. The Redhawks have gone unbeaten against TTU in the last six meetings, dating back to Oct. 30, 2011. SEMO and TTU met twice last season, playing to a scoreless tie in Cape on Oct. 25 then meeting again in the OVC Tournament. The Redhawks eliminated the Golden Eagles in the semifinals with a 2-0 shutout in Murray, Kentucky. On the road, Southeast is 4-4-1 all-time against Tennessee Tech.
Eastern Kentucky
The Redhawks hold an 8-2-1 advantage over Eastern Kentucky in 11 all-time meetings. Southeast has gone unbeaten against EKU in the last six meetings, dating back to Oct. 8, 2010. Last season, the teams met in Lexington, Kentucky on Oct. 8. Southeast prevailed in overtime, 1-0. At home, Southeast is 4-1 against EKU in its history.
 
Scouting the Opponents
Tennessee Tech
Tennessee Tech enters Friday's match with a 6-5-3 record on the season and a 2-1-2 record in OVC play. TTU is winless in October, having gone 0-1-2 in its last three matches. At home, the Golden Eagles are a respectable 4-1-1 this season, earning both OVC wins at home. Abi Gearing leads TTU with five goals this season. Karigan Owens leads the squad with 13 points comprised of three goals and a conference-leading seven assists. Goalkeeper Kari Naerdemann leads the OVC with a 0.74 goals against average and an .843 save percentage. She has six solo shutouts this season.
Eastern Kentucky
EKU currently sits at 8-4 on the season and 3-2 in league play under first-year head coach Nick Flohre. Earlier this season, EKU rattled off an eight-match winning streak including opening OVC play 3-0. On the road, EKU is an even 3-3 this season. Jordan Foster leads the Colonels with four goals this season. She also has four assists for 12 total points. Goalkeeper Anna Hall has recorded an 0.92 goals against average and an .823 save percentage with seven solo shutouts.
 
What's Ahead
The final two regular-season matches will begin Sunday, Oct. 23 at Houck Stadium when SEMO plays host to Morehead State. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. that day. The regular-season finale will be Thursday, Oct. 27 against UT Martin at Houck Stadium. The senior class will be honored prior to the 7 p.m. kickoff that evening.
 
NSCAA Team Academic Award
For the seventh-consecutive year, the Redhawks have earned NSCAA Team Academic recognition. Southeast's 3.64 team GPA ranked fifth among NCAA Division I women's soccer teams.
 
Let's Recap
The Redhawks went winless on the road last weekend. Southeast fell to Jacksonville State, 2-1, in double overtime. Natasha Minor netted her 10th goal of the season in the first half. Junior Shay Darga earned her first career assist on the goal. Minor is the conference co-leader in goals. Southeast looked to pick up three points in the conference standings but instead drew a scoreless draw at Belmont on Sunday. The Redhawks have played four double overtime matches in a row entering this weekend.
 
She's a Goal Getter
Natasha Minor's 10 goals this season ranks tied for first in the OVC and 14th nationally. Her 10 goals ranks tied for fourth on Southeast's single-season top five list. Minor is three goals from tying, four from breaking, Southeast's all time goals record of 29. Minor is also eight shots on goal away from breaking the all-time career record.
 
Active Career List
Currently in her junior season, Kindra Lierz ranks 24th among active Division I goalkeepers with a 0.80 career goals against average. Her .434 shutout percentage ranks 22nd in her career.
