CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - The Southeast Missouri Redhawks soccer team hits the road for a match with Atlantic Coast Conference opponent Louisville. This will be the first of a three-game road swing for the Redhawks. Southeast and Louisville face off Monday at 6:30 p.m., CT.
The Redhawks are 1-1 against the Cardinals all-time. Southeast defeated Louisville on the road Oct. 3, 2003, 3-1. The two teams met again, this time in Lexington, Kentucky, on Oct. 30, 2012. The Cards shutout the Redhawks, 4-0, in the match.Â

Angie Mann netted her second goal of the season, proving the difference maker in the game. The Redhawks were able to hold off a strong second half attack from the Purple Aces to pick up the victory. It was the first time Southeast had been outshot on the season. The Redhawks suffered their first loss of the season on Sunday at the hands of Northern Colorado. The Bears scored the game-winning goal in the 12th minute of the match, downing the Redhawks 1-0.Â

Kindra Lierz was named adidas® Ohio Valley Conference Co-Goalkeeper of the Week, the league announced Tuesday. Lierz recorded her second shutout of the season last weekend against Evansville. She posted three saves against both Evansville and Northern Colorado. Lierz allowed one goal to Northern Colorado in the first half of Sunday's game. Lierz played all 180 minutes of play this past weekend. Lierz is sporting a 0.95 goals against average through four games this season. She has recorded 10 saves with a .714 save percentage. She is the only keeper in the league with multiple shutouts this season.Â
Longest Road Winning StreakSoutheast Missouri women's soccer is currently in the midst of the longest road winning streak in program history, which it looks to extend at Louisville. The season opener at Missouri S&T extended the streak to seven, breaking the program record which previously stood at six.

Looking AheadThe Redhawks will continue their three-game road swing with a trip to the Sunshine State. Southeast will play Florida Atlantic Friday, Sept. 11, and Lynn University the following Sunday. Southeast will return home Sept. 18 for a match against regional rival Arkansas State. The Redhawks will be celebrating National Cheeseburger Day. McDonald's will be handing out 150 cheeseburgers to fans and there will be a cheeseburger eating contest at halftime.Â
