CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri volleyball travels to Fayetteville, Arkansas for the 2015 Razorback Invitational this weekend. The Redhawks will face UT Arlington Friday before concluding tournament play against host Arkansas and Northwestern State on Saturday. Saturday's match against the Razorbacks will be streamed live on SEC Network+.

The Redhawks sported a 2-1 record last weekend, bringing their season overall record to 2-4. USC-Upstate was undefeated during the event which also included The Citadel and tournament host Gardner-Webb. Nzingha Clarke and Krissa Gearring both tallied 43 kills over the weekend, hitting .398 and .227, respectively. Both were named to the all-tournament team at the conclusion of the event.
 
OVC Defensive Player of the Week
Jade Mortimer had 59 digs, averaging 4.92 per set last weekend. She opened the tournament with 15 digs against tournament host Gardner-Webb. Mortimer then followed with 23 digs against USC-Upstate and added 21 in the win over The Citadel. Mortimer's performance earned her adidas® OVC Defensive Player of the Week honors. Mortimer has 104 digs this season, averaging 4.73 per set. She is currently second in the OVC in digs per set.
 
Scouting the Mavericks
After going 2-1 a week ago, UT Arlington swept Abilene Christian on Tuesday to bring their overall record to 6-2. Their weekend included wins over Villanova and Air Force while falling to Denver. Stacey Koch leads the Mavericks with 98 kills and a .415 hitting clip. Marisah Ingram leads defensively, averaging 1.38 blocks per set. The Mavericks are under direction of Diane Seymour (12^th season).
 
Scouting the Razorbacks
Starting the season 5-1, Arkansas is in the midst of a three-game winning streak after sweeping the SIUE Cougar Classic. The Razorbacks have only lost four sets this season, three of which come from their only defeat against Kansas. Pilar Victoria has amounted 90 kills, leading the SEC with a 4.29 per set average. Coach Robert Pulliza leads Arkansas for his eighth season.
 
Scouting the Demons
So far this season, the Demons sport a 2-5 record. Recently, they participated in the Bama Bash Tournament, finishing 0-3 with loses to Alabama, College of Charleston, and Southern Miss. Last season, the Demons finished with an overall record of 16-17 and return three starters for 2015. Northwestern State is under the direction of first-year head coach Sean Kiracofe.
