Redhawks Complete Regular Season at Huskie Open

DeKALB, Ill. – Southeast Missouri track and field closed its final regular season tune-up at the Huskie Open on the campus of Northern Illinois on Saturday.
Sarah Hall won the shot put with a throw of 48'6¼" (14.79m) and the hammer throw with a toss of 194'2" (59.19m), setting a school record for the second consecutive week.
Chris Navarro won the 110-meter hurdles in 14.60 seconds. Christian Locke won the pole vault by clearing 16'¼" (4.90m).
Shon Kyle won the discus with a toss of 176'9" (53.88m). He was second in the shot put by covering 55'9¼" (17.00m) and second in the hammer throw with a toss of 175'4" (53.44m).
Kayla Gutierrez finished second in the shot put with a toss of 47'3½" (14.41m) and third in the discus with a throw of 152'2" (46.38m).
Taylor Coffelt placed second in the women's javelin with a throw of 122'3" (37.27m). Duncan Ross was second in the men's javelin with a toss of 154'11" (47.22m).
The Redhawks will compete in the Ohio Valley Conference Championships next weekend on the campus of Austin Peay in Clarksville, Tennessee.
