Redhawks Travel to Terre Haute for First Time
Southeast Missouri will play out of conference this weekend when they travel to Terre Haute, Indiana for a three-game series with the Indiana State Sycamores. This will be the first time these teams meet in nine years as they haven't played since 2006. Friday and Saturday's games will begin at 5:30 p.m., CT, while Sunday's finale is slated to start at 12 p.m., CT. The series can be heard live on SEMO ESPN.

Let's Review
The Redhawks picked up a big win over in-state rival and nationally ranked No. 21 Missouri Tuesday, 8-5. The Redhawks held an 8-0 lead on the Tigers going to the bottom of the sixth inning and were able to hold a Missouri rally late in the game to take the midweek matchup. In his fourth start of the season, Jacob Lawrence pitched seven and two-thirds innings against the Tigers, allowing three runs on five hits. Lawrence was perfect the first time through the Tiger order and had a one-hit shutout through five innings. Southeast Missouri closed its home schedule last week, going 2-2. The Redhawks won a 10-inning thriller against Missouri S&T on Tuesday, 11-10. The Redhawks played host to Ohio Valley Conference rival Tennessee Tech in the final home series of the season. Southeast took game one of the series 9-1. Joey Lucchesi pitched eight innings, allowing one run on four hits. For the second straight outing, Lucchesi fanned 13 batters. The Redhawks held a 5-2 lead going to the fifth inning in game two but Tennessee Tech shut the Redhawk offense down and went on to score nine unanswered run to take game two, 11-5. It was a similar story in game three as Southeast led 6-2 going to the sixth but found themselves down 11-6 in the ninth. Southeast wasn't going down without a fight on Senior Day as they rallied for four runs in the ninth but ultimately fell short, 11-10. Southeast dropped their first OVC series of the season with the losses to the Golden Eagles.

On the Road Again
Southeast Missouri will play their final seven games of the regular season on the road. Southeast has spent a considerable amount of time on the road this season due to moving home three home series to neutral locations early in the season. So far, the Redhawks have bussed approximately 7,157 miles. Southeast is 14-6 in away games this season. Southeast closes the regular season with trips to Missouri, Indiana State, and Belmont. The OVC Tournament will take place in Jackson, Tennessee beginning May 21.

Capital One Academic All-District® Honorees
Senior baseball student-athletes Jason Blum and Dalton Hewitt have been named to the District Six Capital One Academic All-District® Baseball team. This is Blum's third time being selected to an All-District team and Hewitt's second time. Blum earned Third Team Capital One Academic All-America® honors in 2014.

Chasing 100
Head coach Steve Bieser currently has 94 wins in his three-year career at Southeast Missouri. He needs six more wins to reach 100. If Bieser reaches the milestone in 2015, the Redhawks also will tie a program record of 37 wins in a season. Southeast tied the record last season.

Valley to Valley
Southeast Missouri has played nine games against four Missouri Valley Conference teams this season. Its series with Indiana State will be the final MVC games Southeast will play this season. In its nine games, the Redhawks are 2-7. Southeast has been outscored 46-31 and have only hit .236 against MVC pitching.

Against the SEC in 2015
Southeast Missouri went 2-1 in Southeastern Conference games this season after splitting a two-game set with Arkansas and defeating No. 21 Missouri. Southeast has played its SEC opponents close, narrowly outscoring them 23-20 and has outhit them, .300 to .295.

On Pace to Repeat
The Redhawks are on pace to repeat as the Ohio Valley Conference Regular Season Champions in 2015. Southeast sits at 20-7 in league play with one OVC series left. A year ago, the Redhawks were 21-6 at the same spot in the season. Southeast has won seven OVC series this year with sweeps of UT Martin, Jacksonville State, and Murray State. The only series loss came to Tennessee Tech. Morehead State and SIUE are tied for second at 15-9, each three and a half games back, and each with six OVC games left. Southeast's magic number to clinch the title is two. While Southeast plays out of conference this weekend, Morehead plays at Jacksonville State and SIUE plays at Austin Peay.

Run, Redhawks, Run
Southeast Missouri ranks fourth in the nation in runs scored (386) and fourth in scoring (8.0 runs a game). Southeast has outscored its opponents 386-257 on the season and has scored 10 or more runs in 18 games this season. Southeast also has a +2.7 scoring margin on their opponents, which ranks 18th in the country.

Digging the Long Ball
The Redhawks have won the last 10 games in which they have hit a home run. Southeast has hit two or more home runs in 14 games this season. The Redhawks rank third in the OVC in the category with 53; behind Belmont and Morehead State's 57. Nationally, Southeast ranks seventh in home runs and 10th in home runs per game with 1.10. 17 of Southeast's 53 have been leadoff home runs. Branden Boggetto leads the team with nine this season.

Looking Ahead
Southeast will conclude the regular season with a three-game series at OVC foe Belmont University beginning Thursday, May 14. The Redhawks can clinch their second straight OVC Regular Season title that weekend. Southeast looks to carry the No. 1 seed into the OVC Tournament beginning May 20 in Jackson, Tennessee.
