CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Fresh off a 10-day break, Southeast Missouri (0-5) returns to action with three matches in Illinois this weekend. The Redhawks will play Northern Illinois (5-0) Friday, Chicago State (1-7) Saturday and Illinois-Chicago (1-4) Sunday.
Southeast enters the weekend looking for its first win. The Redhawks have lost their first five matches and 13 in a row dating back to last season. Southeast's last victory was a 4-3 win over Morehead State on Mar. 22, 2014.
Melissa Martin leads the Redhawks with two singles wins at the No. 6 spot.
Annisa Warasanti (No. 5) and
Mariya Kostyuk (No. 1) have also picked up singles wins. Kostyuk and
Viviana Ortiz top the team in doubles action with a 2-3 mark at the No. 1 position.
The Redhawks meet NIU, Chicago State and Illinois-Chicago for the first time in 2015.
