CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast Missouri will take on #1 Murray State in the first round of the OVC Tournament on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Racer Arena in Murray, Kentucky.
The first round will begin Thursday afternoon and all tournament matches will be streamed live on the OVC Digital Network.
After falling to Jacksonville State in five sets on Saturday, the Redhawks currently sit at 10-19 overall. Southeast enters the tournament with a 6-10 conference record and earning the eight seed due to holding a tiebreaker advantage over SIUE.

Nzingha Clarke currently rank fourth (.348) and fifth (.339) in the OVC play respectively in attack percentage. Clarke also is tied for first in the OVC in overall blocks per set (1.04) while ranking second during conference-only play with 1.26 per set.
Scouting the RacersTop-seeded Murray State finished the regular season 25-2, losing to conference foe Eastern Illinois and nationally ranked Washington. Finishing 15-1 in conference, the Racers will host the OVC Tournament for the second straight year. During the year, the Redhawks fell twice in three sets to MSU.
Tournament HistoryLast season was Southeast's only entry in the OVC tournament as an eight seed and will be the second year in a row for MSU to host the opening round match up. MSU went on to sweep Southeast, Tennesse Tech and Belmont to claim the tournament crown. The Redhawks currently hold at 3-1 record during tournament matches held in Murray, Kentucky while having a .500 record against the Racers during tournament play.
Looking AheadA victory for the Redhawks would earn a semifinal match against the winner of #4 Tennessee State and #5 Eastern Kentucky at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 20. The championship round is set for Saturday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m.
