CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri volleyball returns home this weekend to host Eastern Kentucky on Friday at 6:30 p.m. and Morehead State on Saturday at 2 p.m. Both matches will be broadcasted on the OVC Digital Network.
Following Saturday's match, the Redhawks will host a free youth volleyball clinic. Everyone 18 and under is invited to learn the game of volleyball from the team and coaching staff. Kids who attend the match in their volleyball uniform will also receive free admission.

Last Week RecapThe Redhawks fell to UT Martin and Tennessee Tech last week, bringing their conference record to 1-3. Southeast will enter its match Friday 5-12 overall.
Madalyn Werths led with 21 kills on the week, averaging 3.50 per set and registering a .300 hitting clip.
Nzingha Clarke followed with 18 kills and a .378 attack percentage. Freshman setter
Keegan Fornoff averaged 9.50 assists per set, tallying 57 in six sets.

Jade Mortimer earned her second adidas® OVC Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season. Mortimer recorded 44 digs (7.33 per set) over weekend. She tallied 17 digs on Friday against UT Martin and registered 27 the following night against Tennessee Tech, both in three-set matches. Mortimer has accumulated 294 digs this season. Averaging 4.67 per set, she is currently ranked first in the OVC.
Scouting the ColonelsEastern Kentucky is 3-15 this season after opening conference play 2-2. Their four-match home stand saw victories over Morehead State and Tennesee State while being swept by Belmont and Murray State. Celina Sanks leads EKU in kills (165) followed by Rachel Vick (132). Chloe Rojas leads defensively, averaging 4.25 digs per set (285 digs).
Scouting the EaglesMorehead State is 2-2 in conference play and currently sporting a 5-13 overall record. Most recently, the Eagles swept Austin Peay at home. Freshman standout Merideth Jewell leads with 305 kills (4.30 per set). Jewell was recently named OVC Newcomer of the Week for the fourth time.
Looking AheadSoutheast will open a four-game road trip against SIUE on Friday, Oct. 16. They will play the following night at Eastern Illinois.
