CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri will begin the final five matches of the regular season with two games at home this weekend. Southeast welcomes Belmont on Friday at 6:30 p.m. and Jacksonville State on Sunday for a 1 p.m. match.
Both matches will be streamed to the OVC Digital Network.
The Redhawks have never been beaten by Belmont and are 6-0-1 against the Bruins all-time. Southeast has only allowed two goals to the Bruins in seven meetings and have shut them out five times.
Southeast is 9-4-2 against Jacksonville State all-time. Southeast and Jacksonville met twice last season. The Redhawks won the regular-season matchup, 3-0, on the road. The Gamecocks ended the Redhawks' season with a 1-0 loss in the semifinal round of the OVC Tournament. The win advanced Jacksonville State to the Tournament Championship match.

Redhawks fan are encouraged to bring their four-legged friends and cheer on Redhawks soccer together in the East End Zone. Mississippi Mutts will be sampling dog treats with other drawings and prizes. Additionally, $1 of fans' regular-priced admission will automatically be donated to benefit the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri. There will also be a 50/50 raffle to benefit the Humane Society.
All October Long - Pink Up & Dig For LifeThe Redhawks will wear pink jerseys during the month of October to recognize National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in partnership with Dig For Life and Saint Francis Medical Center.

Scouting the OpponentsBelmont Bruins (3-10-1, 2-4 OVC)Belmont fell to Murray State before defeating Austin Peay in double overtime last week. Sophomore Belicia Mendiola scored her first goal of the season, netting the game-winner against the Lady Govs. Sophomore Tara Austin played all but four minutes over the two matches. She recorded the assist on the Bruins first goal versus Austin Peay. Junior goalkeeper Stephanie Bukovec finished the weekend with four saves and a 0.91 goals-against average in the 197 minutes in net.
Jacksonville State (6-7-1, 3-2-1 OVC)Jacksonville State split a pair of matches last week, defeating Austin Peay and falling to Murray State. Freshman Claire Peterson scored a pair of goals and recorded an assist in the match with Austin Peay. Senior Courtney Hurt tallied the game-winning goal against the Lady Govs to give her 11 for her career. Senior Olivia Drapes played for 180 minutes and was part of a defense that gave up just one goal against league-leading Murray State.
Looking AheadThe final two weeks of the regular season begin with a road match at Morehead State on Thursday, Oct. 22. The Redhawks return to Cape Girardeau for the final home match of the season on Sunday, Oct. 25 against Tennessee Tech. The Redhawks will celebrate their four seniors that day prior to kickoff.
