It's Been AwhileThe Redhawks became the first Ohio Valley Conference team to knock off a Top-3 non-conference opponent since 1990. That year, then-OVC member and No. 4 Middle Tennessee beat then-No. 1 Georgia Southern, 16-13, on Sept. 8.

Dynamic DuoWide receiver
Paul McRoberts and quarterback
Kyle Snyder shared this week's Ohio Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week honor. A native of St. Louis, Mo., McRoberts made a game-high seven catches for 89 yards and two touchdowns in Southeast's dramatic 24-23 win over nationally-ranked Southeastern Louisiana. He scored the game-winning touchdown on a 2-yard pass from Snyder with four seconds left. McRoberts' other TD came on a 12-yard reception that gave the Redhawks a 17-10 lead with 8:24 remaining in the third quarter. Snyder, who hails from Barberton, Ohio, completed 16-of-31 passes for 141 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for 95 yards on 17 carries, averaging 5.6 yards per rush. On 3rd-and-10, Snyder broke free for a 15-yard run on a gutsy quarterback draw to move Southeast to the 2-yardline before throwing the game-winning touchdown pass. McRoberts and Snyder joined Tennessee State's Ronnie Vinson (Defensive), Eastern Illinois' Antoine Johnson (Specialist) and Jalen Whitlow (Co-Newcomer), and Eastern Kentucky's Dy'Shawn Mobley (Co-Newcomer) as this week's honorees.
Top of the FCSPaul McRoberts leads the nation with six receiving touchdowns through four games this season. McRoberts had two receiving touchdowns in two of the Redhawks last three contests. He also ranks 12th in the Football Championship Subdivision with 364 receiving yards. McRoberts has caught a touchdown pass in four-straight games.

Davis Breaks Career All-Purpose RecordReturn specialist
Spencer Davis accounted for a game-high 143 all-purpose yards and broke Southeast's all-time career record in all-purpose yardage against Southeastern Louisiana (Sept. 20). Davis returned five kickoffs for 77 yards and three punts for 22 yards. He also caught five passes for 34 yards and rushed for 12 yards on one carry. His 16-yard reception on a 3rd-and-8 kept the Redhawks game-winning drive alive in the final minute. Davis has 4,248 all-purpose yards in his career and surpassed Kelvin "Earthquake" Anderson (4,173, 1992-94) for the new mark.
Snyder On the RiseSoutheast quarterback
Kyle Snyder leads the Ohio Valley Conference in total offense (256 ypg) and ranks second in passing average (203 ypg). Snyder has thrown a league-best eight touchdowns through four starts, including a season-high three at Kansas (Sept. 6). He has thrown multiple touchdown passes in three of his four games under center. Snyder is 54-of-99 (54.5 pct.) for 812 yards passing this season. He threw a touchdown pass to three different receivers.
Big "D"What may have gone un-noticed in Southeast's 24-23 victory over Southeastern Louisiana (Sept. 20) is that the Redhawk defense batted down six passes. One of those deflections turned into a turnover when
Wisler Ymonice secured his team-high second interception. Ymonice dropped D'Shaie Landor short of the goal line on a two-point conversion, as well. The failed conversion loomed large for the Lions in the end.
McCrum Knocks it ThroughRyan McCrum made a career-long 54-yard field goal as time expired in the first half against Southeastern Louisiana. McCrum's 54-yarder was the second-longest field goal in school history. He is one of two kickers in the Ohio Valley Conference who has not missed either a PAT (16-of-16) or field goal (4-of-4) this year. The other is Eastern Kentucky's Andrew Lloyd (16-of-16 PAT, 5-of-5 FG).
