2015: Second-Team All-Ohio Valley Conference selection...Team captain...Started every game at
linebacker...Led the Redhawks with 106 tackles and 42 solo stops...Was second on the team in tackles for loss (10.0) and sacks (4.5)...Returned a fumble for 20 yards and added two pass breakups...Was the Redhawks leading tackler for the second year in a row...Ranked second in the OVC in tackles as one of four players in the league to finish the season with over 100 stops...Collected double-digit tackles in six games with a season-high 14 in the season-finale vs. UT Martin (11/21)...Became the first Southeast player to get 100 tackles in a season since 2012...Ranked ninth in the OVC in sacks and tied for 12th in tackles for loss...Was 35th in the Football Championship Subdivision in tackles per game (9.6)...Southeast Scholar-Athlete and OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll selection.

2014: Team captain...Started nine games at linebacker before missing the final three weeks of the season with a broken leg injury...Was the Redhawks leading tackler with 96 stops...Led the team in tackles for loss (8.5), sacks (3) and forced fumbles (5)...Recorded 40 solo tackles, second-most on the team...Tied for second in the Ohio Valley Conference with 10.7 tackles per game...Also ranked 12th among league leaders in sacks...Turned in double-digit tackles five times with a season and career-high 19 vs. Eastern Illinois (10/18)...Had 14 tackles, 13 solo stops, a sack and one forced fumble at Kansas (9/6)...Finished as Southeast’s top tackler in five of his starts...Tallied 12 tackles to lead the Redhawks in their win over No. 3 Southeastern Louisiana (9/20).

2013: Played in all 12 games and made two starts...Ranked third on the team and tied for 22nd in the OVC with 65 tackles...Was second on the team with 44 solo stops...Added one tackle for loss, one interception, a pass breakup and one forced fumble...Recorded seven tackles in first career start at Tennessee State (10/5)...Had a season-high 12 tackles and 10 solo stops at Eastern Illinois (10/19)...Forced a fumble on Murray State’s second overtime possession during the Redhawks triple overtime win...Also posted seven tackles and returned his first career interception 15 yards against the Racers.

2012: Redshirted as a walk-on.

Prep: All-Conference, All-District, All-Region and All-State honoree at Farmington High School...Registered 165 tackles (108 solo) and 12 sacks as a senior...Won his team’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player Award...Added 106 tackles, one interception and scored two defensive touchdowns his junior year...Was an All-Conference and All-District selection in basketball...Also played baseball.

Personal: Born July 23, 1993...Majoring in General Studies...Son of Hud and Tonya Garrett...His brother, Rider, is also an inside linebacker at Southeast.
