In the Home StretchSoutheast Missouri will return home Friday and Saturday to host Ohio Valley Conference foes Austin Peay and Murray State. Friday's match against the Lady Govs will begin at 6 p.m. The Redhawks will celebrate four seniors Saturday. The match against Murray State will begin at 2 p.m. with Senior Day festivities prior to first serve.

Looking BackSoutheast Missouri defeated Eastern Illinois before falling to SIUE last week. Senior
Andrea Baylin led the Redhawks with 27 kills last week. She recorded a double-double in each match. She had 13 kills and 18 digs versus Eastern Illinois and followed it up with 14 kills and 15 digs at SIUE.

Building BlocksIn OVC games, Southeast is averaging 2.52 blocks per set as a team; nearly half a block per set more than Morehead State with 2.16. Individually,
Taylor Masterson and
Nzingha Clarke have been forces to reckon with on the net. Masterson leads the OVC with 1.17 blocks per set while Clarke ranks third with 1.16 blocks per set. The Redhawks are also holding their conference opponents to a .184 hitting percentage due in part to their blocking game.

Offensive ProwessThe Redhawks' .216 OVC hitting percentage ranks third in the league. Individually, two Redhawks rank in the top ten of the OVC in hitting percentage.
Taylor Masterson's .367 average is the best in the league. Senior
Kelsey Keeve is also a top-ten hitter with a .293 hitting clip this conference season.

Scouting the Lady GovsAustin Peay picked up wins over Tennessee Tech and Jacksonville State last week to wrap up its home slate. Senior Hillary Plybon recorded double-digit kills in both matches last week. She had 10 kills versus Tennessee Tech and followed that up with 13 kills against Jacksonville State. Senior Jada Stotts and junior Aubrey Marsellis each recorded double-doubles versus Tennessee Tech. Stotts had 13 kills and 19 digs while Marsellis recorded 12 kills and 23 assists. In the win over Jacksonville State, Stotts (13 kills, 17 digs), Marsellis (29 assists, 11 digs) and senior Cami Field (27 assists, 13 digs) posted double-doubles.

Scouting the RacersMurray State defeated Jacksonville State and Tennessee Tech last week. The Racers are now 20-4 overall which is the best record in program history to this point in the season. Junior Taylor Olden tied a season-high with 19 kills to go with seven digs versus Jacksonville State. Against Tech, she had 12 kills with only one error for a .524 attack percentage. Sophomore Ellie Lorenz recorded 12 digs versus Jacksonville State and followed that up with nine digs versus Tennessee Tech. Junior Sam Bedard posted 43 assists and a match-high 14 digs to go with three kills against JSU. She had 45 assists versus Tennessee Tech.

Records AgainstAustin Peay - 34-23Southeast Missouri fell to Austin Peay on Sept. 27 in Clarkesville in four sets (25-20, 15-25, 25-18, 26-24).
Murray State - 51-22The Redhawks dropped the Ohio Valley Conference opener to Murray State in Murray in three sets (26-24, 25-20, 25-21) on Sept. 26.

Setting UpThe Redhawks will end the home slate Tuesday with a 6:30 p.m. matchup against the UT Martin Skyhawks. The Redhawks fell to the Skyhawks in Martin, Tennessee on Sept. 30 in five sets. Southeast will then take to the road for the regular-season finale at Jacksonville State Nov. 15.
