MURRAY, Ky. – Southeast Missouri volleyball's season came to a close Thursday with a 3-0 loss to top-seeded Murray State in the opening round of the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament (17-25, 19-25, 19-25).
 
Southeast Missouri finishes the season 11-20 overall and 7-9 in OVC play.
 
The Racers won the first set by a score of 25-17. Murray opened the set by going up 9-1 on the Redhawks. The early eight-point deficit was too much to overcome for Southeast.
 
Southeast found themselves up 15-9 in the second set but an eight-point run by Murray erased the Redhawk lead and put the Racers on top 17-15. The Redhawks would only put up four more points in the set as Murray would cruise to a 25-19 set two win to go up 2-0 in the match. Southeast would end up hitting -.039 in the set.
 
Murray State took an early lead in the third set and only continued to build on that lead as the set continued. Murray would take the set 25-19 and the match. The Redhawks had their best hitting percentage in the third set with a .226 clip.
 
Andrea Baylin was the Redhawks' kills leader with six on the evening. Taylor Masterson had five kills in the match with five blocks.
