On the Road AgainSoutheast Missouri volleyball will hit the road for the first time since Oct. 11. Southeast will head to Eastern Illinois Friday at 7 p.m. then SIUE Saturday for a 2 p.m. match. The Redhawks beat both these teams at home Oct. 17 and 18. Both matches can be viewed for free on the OVC Digital Network.

Looking BackSoutheast Missouri defeated Tennessee State before falling to Belmont last week. Junior
Taylor Masterson recorded eight blocks over the two matches. She posted five solo blocks. Sophomore
Katarina Rotta helped the Redhawks hit .269 last week. She dished out 78 assists to go with 19 digs, five kills and a service aces.

OVC Setter of the WeekSophomore
Katarina Rotta ran a Redhawk offense that hit .269 for the week. She dished out 78 assists to average 13.0 per set. She also had five kills, one service ace and 19 digs over the two matches. This is Rotta's first career Setter of the Week honor.

Building BlocksIn OVC games, Southeast is averaging 2.63 blocks per set as a team; over half a block per set more than Belmont with 2.07. Individually,
Nzingha Clarke and
Taylor Masterson have been forces to reckon with on the net. Clarke ranks second in OVC games with 1.22 blocks per set while Masterson is right behind with 1.21. The Redhawks are also holding their conference opponents to a .189 hitting percentage due in part to their blocking game.

Offensive ProwessThe Redhawks' .228 OVC hitting percentage ranks second in the league. Individually, three Redhawks rank in the top five of the OVC in hitting percentage, two of which are middle blockers.
Taylor Masterson's .394 average is the best in the league. Masterson is followed by
Kelsey Keeve (.326) and
Nzingha Clarke (.311).

Scouting the PanthersEastern Illinois defeated Austin Peay before falling to Murray State last week. Junior Chelsea Lee paced the team with 28 kills, reaching double-digits in both matches. She had 15 kills versus the Lady Govs and tallied 13 in the match with the Racers. Junior Marah Bradbury finished the week with 70 assists, 19 digs and 10 kills. She nearly had a triple double versus Austin Peay with seven kills, 40 assists and 10 digs. Junior Stephanie Wallace registered a team-high 36 digs.

Scouting the CougarsSIUE split a pair of OVC road matches last week, falling to Murray State and defeating Austin Peay. Junior Kristen Torre recorded 23 kills and a .408 hitting percentage. She also led the team with five service aces. Torre posted 11 kills versus Murray State and 13 against Austin Peay. She has collected double-digit kills in 17 matches this season. Chelsea Colclasure is now seventh all-time at SIUE in service aces with 119. She has 32 this season, which is a new season high. Ashley Witt is closing in on the SIUE freshman record for kills in single season. She has 263 heading into the final six regular-season matches and needs just 36 to break the record.

Records AgainstEastern Illinois - 28-19-1Southeast Missouri defeated the Panthers at home on Oct. 18 in five sets (23-25, 25-23, 25-19, 18-25, 15-10).
SIUE - 6-4Southeast swept the Cougars at home on Oct. 17 (25-14, 25-19, 27-25).

Setting UpThe Redhawks will return home for three of the final four matches of the season. Southeast will host Austin Peay on Nov. 7 and Murray State on Nov. 8. The Redhawks will celebrate the 2014 seniors prior to the Murray State match. Southeast will host UT Martin Nov. 11 to begin the final week of the regular-season.
