• Southeast Missouri and SIU Edwardsville square off Friday in a match that will determine the Ohio Valley Conference regular season champion. The victorious team will earn the right to host the OVC Tournament at its respective campus site from Nov. 6-9.

• The Redhawks have won four OVC regular season titles in the 16-year program history with the most recent coming in the 2011 season. Southeast also won two OVC Tournament championships in back-to-back fashion in 2006 and 2007.

• Southeast has won five straight games - all during OVC play - dating back to Oct. 12. The Redhawks have allowed just one goal during that span, outscoring opponents 9-1. The last 5-game winning streak for Southeast was from Sept. 30 - Oct. 19, 2007.

• As a team, the Redhawks rank 16th nationally in save percentage (.861) and 30th in the country in goals against average (.664) and shutout percentage (.533). True freshman

About SIU Edwardsville: SIUE is 11-5-1 overall and leads the Ohio Valley Conference with an 8-1 mark in conference play. The Cougars have won four straight contests and have outscored the opposition 9-3 during that span. Their lone loss in conference action came against Austin Peay at home by the score of 1-0 on Oct. 12. SIUE has outscored opponents 26-20 on the season and has outshot the opposition 239-173, including a 116-85 advantage in shots on goal. The Cougars are led offensively by senior

Lierz Earns 3rd adidas® OVC Weekly Honor: Freshman
GK Kindra Lierz was voted Ohio Valley Conference Goalkeeper of the Week on Monday for the second consecutive week and third time during her initial NCAA season. Lierz posted her seventh and eighth shutouts of the season last weekend at Tennessee Tech and Jacksonville State. For the season, Lierz has posted a 10-4-0 record and made 59 saves. She ranks 32nd in the nation with an .855 save percentage and 34th in the country with a .664 goals against average. As a team, the Redhawks rank 16th nationally with an .861 save percentage as defenders have recorded three team saves in addition to the 59 recorded by Lierz. She was the Missouri Class 3 Goalkeeper of the Year for Glendale High School in Springfield, Mo., as a senior in 2013.

Jaramillo Named OVC Defender of the Week: Junior
D Valeria Jaramillo received her first career OVC weekly honor as she was named Defender of the Week following last week's shutouts at Tennessee Tech and Jacksonville State. Jaramillo notched her first assist of the season to set up the first goal of the weekend at Tennessee Tech on Friday. Jaramillo has played 1,279 minutes and leads a defensive unit that has allowed an OVC-low 10 goals (0.67 per game) and posted a league-best eight shutouts this season. She became the fourth Redhawks player to earn OVC weekly recognition as

GK Kindra Lierz and
F Natasha Minor have also been the recipients of conference honors in September and October.

Offense Totals Season-High in Shots: In last Friday's 2-0 victory over Tennessee Tech, the Redhawks achieved a season-best with 26 shots.
F Natasha Minor set a career-highs with two goals and seven shots. Five other players recorded multi-shot efforts in the contest.

Beine Posts Hat Trick, Ties School Record: In the 3-0 victory at Arkansas State on Sept. 19, senior
F Breana Beine tied a school record with three goals. She earned the trifecta in the game's first 33 minutes, marking the 10th hat trick in the program's 16-year history and first since
F Ashley Runion achieved the feat on Aug. 27, 2010 vs. Alabama A&M.

Looking Ahead: Southeast has clinched a spot in the OVC Tournament that runs from Nov. 6-9. The seed and location of the tournament is dependent on the outcome against SIUE. The tournament will include games at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on both Thursday and Friday, Nov. 6 and 7 and a 1 p.m. championship match on Sunday, Nov. 9. The winner of the OVC Tournament will then advance to the NCAA Tournament.
