Undefeated at HomeSoutheast is currently undefeated with a 3-0 record at Houck Stadium. Two of those wins have come against ranked opponents. The Redhawks, Eastern Kentucky (2-0), Jacksonville State (2-0) and Tennessee Tech (2-0) are the Ohio Valley Conference schools without a home loss this season. Southeast last went unbeaten at home in 2010 (5-0).
Thriller in MurrayThe Redhawks saw a three-game winning streak end in a hearbreaking 44-41 double overtime loss at Murray State (Oct. 11). KD Humphries threw a game-winning 7-yard touchdown pass to Janawski Davis, sending the Racers to their first Ohio Valley Conference win. Southeast and Murray State played a multiple overtime game for the second year in a row.
Lighting up the ScoreboardSoutheast and Murray State combined for 85 points in their double overtime barnburner at Stewart Stadium on Oct. 11. The 85 points were the most scored in an Ohio Valley Conference game this season. The Redhawks last scored over 40 points in a league game vs. Austin Peay (W, 37-34) on Oct. 27, 2012.
Series HistoryEastern Illinois leads its all-time series against Southeast, 15-6. The Panthers won eight of the previous 10 meetings between these teams and holds a two-game winning streak in the series. The Redhawks won four of their games against EIU at Houck Stadium where they are 4-6. Southeast, which beat the Panthers, 37-30, in their last trip to Cape Girardeau on Oct. 1, 2011, has never beaten EIU in consecutive games at Houck Stadium.
Jackson ReturnsRunning back
DeMichael Jackson ran for a game-high 104 yards on 21 carries against Murray State (Oct. 11). Jackson averaged five yards per carry in his first game since breaking his left wrist in the third quarter at Kansas on Sept. 6. It was the second-straight 100-yard rushing effort by a Southeast running back. Additionally, Jackson posted the sixth 100-yard rushing game of his career.
Davis Take a BowTrue freshman wide receiver
Adrian Davis finished with a pair of touchdown receptions at Murray State (Oct. 11). Davis caught his first career TD on a 5-yard pass from
Kyle Snyder with 12:48 left to play in the second quarter. He was then on the receiving end of a 7-yard pass from Snyder that gave Southeast a 35-28 lead with 3:09 remaining in the fourth quarter. Davis was one of six receivers who caught a pass against the Racers.
Snyder Brings ItQuarterback
Kyle Snyder had another big game when he completed 18-of-31 passes for 241 yards and three touchdowns, and ran for 75 yards and a TD at Murray State (Oct. 11). Snyder's three touchdown passes tied a career-high and marked the third time this season where he accomplished that feat.
Climbing the ChartsKyle Snyder has thrown an Ohio Valley Conference high 13 touchdowns this year. That is already a +7 increase in passing touchdowns from a year ago (6). Snyder has thrown 19 touchdown passes in his career. He stands tied for eighth (single-season) and tied for 10th (career) at Southeast in passing touchdowns.

Tom Matukewicz meet for the first time when their teams take the gridiron at Houck Stadium Saturday. Dameron, Matukewicz and Jacksonville State's John Grass are the first-year head coaches in the Ohio Valley Conference this season. Both Matukewicz (4-3, 2-1) and Grass (5-1, 3-0) currently have winning records in their first seasons.

Block PartyTim Hamm-Bey blocked his third kick this season and fifth of his career when he got a hand on Zach Bogard's punt in the third quarter at Murray State (Oct. 11). Hamm-Bey blocked two extra points and one punt this year. He is currently second in the nation in blocked kicks. Hamm-Bey blocked a kick in two-straight games.
Upcoming ScheduleAfter Saturday's game, Southeast hits the road to face nationally-ranked Eastern Kentucky on Oct. 25. The Redhawks will then have their bye week on Nov. 1 before travelling to Tennessee Tech (Nov. 8) for a televised matchup on ESPN3. 50-Yard ManThere is a kicker craze swirling in the Southeast football program and it revolves around redshirt-sophomore
Ryan McCrum. McCrum has made a field goal over 50 yards in three of the Redhawks last four games. Most recently, he kicked a 52-yarder to send the Murray State (Oct. 11) game to double overtime. He owns all three of the Ohio Valley Conference's longest field goals (52, 54, 55) this year. Additionally, he has not missed an extra point (25-of-25) this season and leads the league in PAT kicking percentage and field goals (11-of-13). McCrum is the Redhawks leading scorer with 58 points in seven games.
PAT StreakRyan McCrum has made 29-consecutive PATs dating back to last season. McCrum last missed a PAT with 11:33 left in the first quarter at Jacksonville State on Nov. 23, 2013. He is tied for first in the Ohio Valley Conference with 25 extra points in 2014. McCrum made 33-of-36 PATs in his career.

Defensively, the Redhawks gave up 35 points in the final quarter. Southeast notched 86 points in the fourth quarter during the 2013 campaign, its most in any 15-minute period.
Starting StreakCorey Porter has made 30-consecutive starts on the offensive line. Both of his starts came at left tackle. Before that, Porter spent the last two seasons as Southeast's starting center.
About Eastern IllinoisEastern Illinois comes to Cape Girardeau on a two-game losing streak after suffering road losses at Ohio (Sept. 27) and No. 16 Eastern Kentucky (Oct. 11). The Panthers led the Colonels, 23-5, at halftime before EKU scored 21 fourth-quarter points to take the lead. Adam Drake's 2-yard touchdown reception sent the game to overtime, but Andrew Lloyd made a game-winning 29-yard field goal. The defending Ohio Valley Conference champion Panthers lead the league in total offense, averaging 469 yards a game. Adam Drake is first in the OVC in receptions per game (8.2) and receiving yards (110 ypg). Jalen Whitlow is EIU's dual threat quarterback who ranks fifth in the conference in passing average (173.3 ypg) and third in rushing (80.5 ypg). The Panthers have had a rough schedule this season, playing two Football Bowl Subdivision opponents and three ranked teams.
