Nutt Breaks Southeast's Career Assists Record
Senior point guard Lucas Nutt broke Southeast's all-time career assists record when he dished out a game and season-high 11 vs. Kansas City (Jan. 29). Nutt officially broke the record when he passed the ball to Tyler Stone, who then threw down a dunk with 5:28 left in the game. His 544 assists surpassed Dwayne Rutherford's previous record of 541 from 1986-90. Nutt is the Ohio Valley Conference's active career assists leader.

Another Milestone
On the same night that his son broke Southeast's all-time career assists record, Dickey Nutt picked up his 250th win as a head coach. Nutt is 250-274 in 18 seasons at the NCAA Division I level. That mark includes a 61-87 record in five years at Southeast. Nutt has coached a total of 524 games in his career.

Series History
Eastern Kentucky holds a 25-16 lead in its all-time series against Southeast. The Redhawks look to snap a five-game losing streak in Richmond. Southeast last beat the Colonels on their homecourt during the 2006-07 season (88-74 on Jan. 2). The Redhawks are 2-7 against EKU under head coach Dickey Nutt. Both of those wins came at the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament where Nutt's teams have faced the Colonels each of the last three seasons.

Balanced Effort
Southeast had six different players score double figures against Kansas City (Jan. 29). Tyler Stone (22 pts., 10 reb.) and Lucas Nutt (12 pts., 11 assists) each turned in a double-double, while Paul McRoberts dropped in 16 points, Josh Langford followed with 14 and Antonius Cleveland and Nino Johnson each pitched in 11. It marked the fourth time this season where six different Redhawks scored double-digits.

Strong Non-Conference
The Redhawks ended their non-conference slate with a 91-81 victory over Kansas City (Jan. 29). Southeast finished with a 9-5 record against non-league foes this season. The nine non-conference wins tied a school record in the NCAA Division I era. The Redhawks also had nine non-conference victories during the 2000-01 regular-season.

Bradley Misses First Start
Jarekious Bradley missed his first start of the season vs. Kansas City Wednesday. Bradley, who leads Southeast with 20.2 points per game, was limited to just two minutes due to a sprained knee. It was the first time Bradley went scoreless in a game this season.

Painting the Town
Southeast merely dominated underneath in its latest victory over Kansas City (Jan. 29). The Redhawks outscored the Kangaroos, 62-22, inside the paint for a +40 advantage. The 62 points were a season-high as it marked the fourth time this season where Southeast has outscored an opponent by a +24 or higher margin inside the paint.

Getting it Done
Paul McRoberts matched a season-best 16 points and made a perfect 6-of-6 field goals off the bench against Kansas City (Jan. 29). McRoberts scored double figures for the second time in his last four contests. He also pulled down seven rebounds, dished out three assists, had two steals and a block in 25 minutes.

Start Me Up
Lucas Nutt will take the floor for his 97th career start at Eastern Kentucky Saturday. Nutt ranks third in games started at Southeast. Derek Winans currently holds the record with 101 starts from 2001-05.

Countdown to 1,000
Lucas Nutt is also 123 points away from getting 1,000 in his Southeast career. Nutt has scored a total of 877 points since joining the Redhawks in 2009-10. He is averaging 7.8 per game this season. If Nutt hits the mark, he will become the third 1,000-point scorer under head coach Dickey Nutt.

Halfway Through
Southeast stands at 3-5 halfway through its Ohio Valley Conference schedule. The Redhawks recently saw a two-game winning streak end with a 77-74 loss to Eastern Illinois (Jan. 25). After Wednesday's game against Kansas City, Southeast hits the road for three-straight, beginning at Eastern Kentucky Saturday. The Colonels, picked as the overall favorite in the OVC this season, are 14-7 overall and 5-3 in league play. EKU also boasts a 7-1 record at home.

High Scoring Redhawks
Southeast scored 81 or more points in five of its last seven games. The Redhawks put up 94 in a 13-point loss (102-94) to Belmont on Jan. 9, 102 points in an eight-point win (102-94) vs. Tennessee State on Jan. 11, 83 points in a nine-point win (83-74) at Tennessee Tech on Jan. 18, 82 points in a four-point victory over SIU Edwardsville on Jan .23 and 81 points in a double-digit win (91-81) vs. Kansas City on Jan. 29. Southeast also scored over 90 points in back-to-back games for the first time since 1997-98 at the beginning of that stretch. The Redhawks lead the Ohio Valley Conference and rank 17th in the nation in scoring offense with 82.9 points per game. Additionally, Southeast ranks 14th nationally in total assists (357) and 17th in field goal percentage (.491).

On the Flipside . . .
The Redhawks are 11th in the Ohio Valley Conference in scoring defense, allowing 77.8 points per game. Opponents have scored 74 or more points against Southeast in 13-straight games.
