COLUMBIA, Mo. –
The Southeast Missouri soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision at in-state foe Missouri on Friday night.

Friday's setback drops the Redhawks to 0-3 on the season while the Tigers are now 2-1.

"As a team, we played significantly better than we did a week ago," Southeast head coach Heather Nelson said. "We're looking forward to another good week of training and playing our first home game at Houck Stadium. We're optimistic that if we keep working the way we have that we will see good things come our way in the long run."

Mizzou got on the board in the 20th minute on a Dominique Richardson goal. The Tigers added a second tally in the 42nd minute as Lauren Selaiden finished a feed from Sarah Thune. That goal capped the first-half scoring as Mizzou outshot Southeast 14-0 in the opening 45 minutes.

Kaysie Clark's header goal in the 55th minute bumped Mizzou's lead to 3-0, finishing a cross from Erin Webb. Selaiden finished the goal scoring with her second of the night in the 66th minute.

The Tigers outshot the Redhawks, 21-3, while finished with a 7-0 advantage in corner kicks. Ashton Aubuchon made five saves of the nine shots she saw in 71:38 in goal. Freshman Lauren Meyer made her collegiate debut and stopped both shots she faced in 18:22 in goal.

Southeast hosts Arkansas State in its home opener on Sept. 6. Opening kickoff at Houck Stadium is at 6:30 p.m.
