Setting the Table
The Southeast Missouri baseball team hits the road to open up a five game road trip this week as they head to Arkansas-Little Rock. Southeast split a two game series with the Trojans last season at Capaha Field. Tuesday game will be a 6:00 p.m. first pitch with Wednesdays being a 3:00 p.m. start.

Redhawks Against UALR
The Redhawks are 5-1 all-time against UALR. The Redhawks and Trojans split a two game set last season at Capaha Field as Southeast took the first game 10-7 and UALR took the second contest by a score of 16-2.

Drive In
Southeast sophomore Andy Lennington leads the Ohio Valley Conference in RBI on the season with 15 after recording three RBI on Sunday against Oral Roberts.

Getting Offensive
Southeast is third in the OVC in batting average at .288 on the season. They lead the OVC in hits at 118 and runs with 80 and runs batted in with 73. They also lead in doubles (25) and home runs (9).

Out of the 'Pen
Southeast's bullpen has been impressive so far this season as they have recorded an ERA of 2.36 so far this season in 53.1 innings of work. The Redhawks have only allowed 14 earned runs out of the bullpen this season. Southeast ranks second in the OVC in team ERA at 3.91. Southeast has allowed opposing hitters a batting average of .263.

Preseason OVC Polls
The Southeast Missouri Baseball team was picked eighth in the Ohio Valley Conference Preseason Poll. Austin Peay, the OVC Co-Regular season and tournament champions in back-to-back seasons were picked to win the league with 14 first place votes. Southeast Missouri junior left fielder Derek Gibson was named Preseason All-OVC after earning First-Team All-OVC last season by the coaches and sports information directors in the OVC.
