MOREHEAD, Ky. – The Southeast Missouri cross country teams toed the line in Morehead Saturday at the 2013 Ohio Valley Conference Championships. The women's team finished fourth as the men's team finished fifth.
Rebekah Lawson placed second in the ladies' 5k race with a time of 17:49.
Craig Munie placed seventh overall in the men's 8k with a time of 24:59. Since both placed in the top-seven, each earned First Team All-OVC honors.
"The race was as expected, very close on both sides from second to fifth-place," said head coach
Ryan Lane. "We knew we could be anywhere in that mix; but we missed our goal of top-three on both sides. We are hungry to race again!"Â

Behind Lawson was
Gloria Westlake in 16
th place in 19:01 and
Mary Dohogne in 27
th place with a time of 19:17.
Melanie Lacey (19:23) and
Laura Chavez (19:24) crossed the finish line together in 30
th and 31
st places, respectively.
Madalyn Stichnot (19:44.13) and
Lindsey Seabaugh (19:44.88) also finished neck-and-neck in 45
th and 46
th places.
Megan Parks finished out the race for Southeast in 51
st place in 19:55.

Following Munie was
Tyler Holmes in 20
th in 25:45 and
Charles Johnson in 28
th in 25:59.
Colten Strotheide  (34
th, 26:25) and
Ryan Anderson (40
th, 26:34) rounded out the top 40.
Shane Brown (46
th, 26:50),
Tyson Stoverink (55
th, 27:22), and
Marc Maton (58
th, 27:31) finished out the race for Southeast.

Eastern Kentucky swept the OVC Championships as well as the individual championships. Soufiane Bouchikhi, the Male Cross Country Athlete of the Year, and Una Britton earned the top-spots in each race for the Colonels.
