Southeast volleyball recorded their second-straight three-set victory Tuesday evening against the UT Martin Skyhawks. The Redhawks and Skyhawks fought closely in the first two sets, with both sets going to 26-24. The Redhawks shut down the Skyhawks in the third set, 25-9. Southeast's 16-point margin of victory in the third set was the largest Southeast has recorded since Oct. 4, 2011 against Eastern Illinois as they beat the Panthers 25-9 in the first set of the match. A Look Ahead
Southeast Missouri will begin gearing up for the 2013 OVC Tournament, set to begin Nov. 21 in Morehead, Ky. Morehead State won the OVC regular season title and the right to host the tournament.

OVC Offensive POW
Emily Coon was named adidas OVC Offensive Player of Week Monday. Coon recorded 36 kills as Southeast Missouri split a pair of matches. She made just two errors on 49 attempts for a .694 hitting percentage. Coon also tallied seven blocks last week. Against Murray State she had 19 kills, while hitting a then season-best .607. Coon followed that up with 17 kills and a career-best .810 hitting percentage.

Scouting Trip
Tennessee Tech fell to Jacksonville State at home Tuesday and SIUE and Eastern Illinois last week on the road. Madison Keyes led the team with 17 kills last week while Ellen Conti had 12 kills and 12 digs over the two matches. The Golden Eagles are currently on an 11-game losing streak with their only conference win coming at UT Martin on Oct. 4.

1,000 Kill Club
Senior middle blocker
Emily Coon recorded her 1,000th kill of her career in Oct. 16's match against Saint Louis. Fellow senior
Colleen Yarber joined Coon in the 1,000 kill club against UT Martin on Nov. 12. Both ladies each sit outside the top-ten in career kills all time.

Berkley Idel has broken the top ten list of career digs and now ranks fifth with 1,498 digs while
Colleen Yarber has broken the top-ten in career attack attempts with 3,542 and now ranks sixth all-time. Meanwhile,
Emily Coon is climbing the Assisted Blocks and Total Blocks lists.
Julie Shives ranks fifth on the career assists list with 4,572.Â
