Men Finish 22nd, Women 26th at NCAA Midwest Regional

Craig Munie was the top-finisher for the men's team at the Midwest Regional Friday.

AMES, Iowa – The Redhawks cross country teams toed the line at the NCAA Midwest Regional Friday. The men finished 22nd while the women finished 26th overall.
 
On the men's side, Craig Munie once again led the pack of Redhawks with a 60th-place finish in 31:38. Marc Maton was the next Redhawk to finish, turning in a 140th-place finish in 33:02. Tyler Holmes (33:18) and Charles Johnson (33:53) each earned 150th and 164th-places, respectively. Ryan Anderson (169th, 34:06) and Shane Brown (178th, 34:23) rounded out the men's side for the Redhawks.
 
Oklahoma State came in first on the men's side in the Midwest Regional.
 
For the women, OVC Scholar-Athlete Rebekah Lawson turned in a 43rd-place finish in 21:29. Gloria Westlake finished next in 120th-place with a time of 22:27. Mary Dohogne (149th, 22:49) and Laura Chavez (157th, 22:59) crossed the finish line next for Southeast. Megan Parks (181st, 23:28), Melanie Lacey (187th, 23:36) and Lindsey Seabaugh (188th, 23:38) closed out the race for Southeast Missouri.
 
Host-school Iowa State took the top spot in the women's 6k race.
