AMES, Iowa – The Redhawks cross country teams toed the line at the NCAA Midwest Regional Friday. The men finished 22
nd while the women finished 26
th overall.
On the men's side,
Craig Munie once again led the pack of Redhawks with a 60
th-place finish in 31:38.
Marc Maton was the next Redhawk to finish, turning in a 140
th-place finish in 33:02.
Tyler Holmes (33:18) and
Charles Johnson (33:53) each earned 150
th and 164
th-places, respectively.
Ryan Anderson (169
th, 34:06) and
Shane Brown (178
th, 34:23) rounded out the men's side for the Redhawks.
Oklahoma State came in first on the men's side in the Midwest Regional.
For the women, OVC Scholar-Athlete
Rebekah Lawson turned in a 43
rd-place finish in 21:29.
Gloria Westlake finished next in 120
th-place with a time of 22:27.
Mary Dohogne (149
th, 22:49) and
Laura Chavez (157
th, 22:59) crossed the finish line next for Southeast.
Megan Parks (181
st, 23:28),
Melanie Lacey (187
th, 23:36) and
Lindsey Seabaugh (188
th, 23:38) closed out the race for Southeast Missouri.
Host-school Iowa State took the top spot in the women's 6k race.
