Scouting the Blue Raiders
Middle Tennessee played for the first time in eight days when it visited Murray State Tuesday. Southeast marks the second Ohio Valley Conference opponent the Blue Raiders face in as many days. Sophomores Kristi Marquez has been one of MTSU's hottest hitters as of late. Marquez boasted a .412 batting average in her last six games. Shelby Stinnett has pitched well for the Blue Raiders, tossing complete games in two of her last three appearances.

Countdown to 850
Lana Richmond is approaching 850 career wins in her 30th season as Southeast's head coach. Richmond, who has coached in a total of 1,486 games, holds an overall record of 847-637-2. She has also won 269 Ohio Valley Conference games, leading the Redhawks to OVC Tournament titles in 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999, and OVC regular-season crowns in 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999. Richmond currently ranks 14th in victories among all NCAA Division I head softball coaches.
