COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - Tennessee Tech (14-19, 8-7) scored two unearned runs off three errors with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to eke out a 3-2 victory over Southeast Missouri (13-20, 6-8) Sunday.

TTU, which dropped game one, rallied to win the series.

A walk, hit batsman and three errors helped the Golden Eagles pull off their come-from-behind win after trailing for six-and-a-half innings.

Angi Sakamoto was hit by a pitch. A crucial two-base error followed, allowing Melody Christian to go to second and Sakamoto to move to third. After nothing came of the Redhawks second error, Kendall Hooper reached on a two-out walk to load the bases. Chanelle Spalding then got on with the help of another error, and this time, Southeast would pay. As a result, Brittney Spalding and pinch-runner Christian Gibbs scored to give TTU the 3-2 win.

Both teams were scoreless for three innings until Southeast took a 2-0 lead in the top of the fourth.

Xia Wilson drew a leadoff walk and was replaced by pinch-runner Leah Becker. Shelb Stein moved Becker over to second on a sacrifice-bunt. Kaitlin Wallace followed with a single and Becker scored. Wallace, who advanced to second on an error, later touched home on a two-out triple by Evan Sallis, giving the Redhawks a 2-0 advantage.

TTU cut Southeast's lead in half during its at-bat in the fourth.

Samantha Everett reached on a four-pitch walk before giving way to pinch-runner Tyler Templet. Cassie Garrett's two-out triple down the right field line scored Templet to pull the Golden Eagles within a run.

Alora Marble (8-8) suffered the tough luck loss. Marble gave up three runs (two unearned) on six hits. She also struck out three and walked two in 6.2 innings.

Holly Thomas (10-9) earned her 10th win of the season. Thomas went the distance, allowing two runs on eight hits. She struck out four and walked three, as well.

The Redhawks outhit the Golden Eagles, 8-6. Sallis (2-for-3), Cheyenne Gipson (2-for-4) and Wallace (2-for-2) accounted for six of the hits. In addition, Sallis extended her hitting streak to six games.

B. Spalding went 2-for-4 with a run scored to lead TTU.

Defensively, Southeast matched a season-high four errors.

The Redhawks, who dropped their third series in Ohio Valley Conference play this season, return to action when they host Eastern Illinois in a 3 p.m., CT, doubleheader on Apr. 4.
