CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast Missouri (4-7) will participate in the Missouri Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament this weekend. UMKC will host this year's five-team event.
The Redhawks close out a 15-game road trip at the Missouri Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament. Southeast is slated to face Saint Louis (1 p.m.) and Missouri (3 p.m.) Saturday, and UMKC (11 a.m.) and Missouri State (1 p.m.) Sunday. All games will be played at the Missouri 3&2 Field.

The Redhawks will look to snap a five-game losing streak after going winless at the Blues City Classic a week ago.
Offensively, Evan Sallis leads the Redhawks in batting average (.310) and on-base percentage (.412). Sallis is also tied for first on the team in runs scored (9). Renee Kertz leads Southeast with 11 RBI.
Pitching wise, Shea Cothren and Alora Marble have each made four starts this season. Cothren has a team-best 11 strikeouts.
Scouting the Billikens: The Billikens recently went 3-2 in the Phyllis Rafter Memorial Tournament hosted by Kennesaw State. Outfielder Jessica Buschjost leads the Billikens in batting average (.339), runs (11), hits (19) and stolen bases (11). Alyson Brand is Saint Louis' top RBI threat with 10, despite hitting just .160 in nine games.
Scouting the Tigers: Missouri won three of four games at the Quality Inn Classic and fashioned a 3-2 record at last week's Cathedral Classic. Jenna Martson leads the Tigers with a .429 clip at the plate. Ashley Fleming tops Missouri with three home runs, as well.
Scouting the Kangaroos: UMKC went a perfect 4-0 at the Evansville Tournament. Kaelene Curry, who was named the Summit League's Player of the Year in 2011, boasts a .393 batting average and .429 slugging percentage this year.
Scouting the Bears: Missouri State defeated Southeast, 4-1, at the Blues City Classic last week. The Bears, who made the NCAA Tournament last season, have won five of their last six games. Ashley Brentz is hitting .435 with five RBI and a .536 on-base percentage as Missouri State's top offensive threat.
