Senior
Trenton Moses was named Adidas Co-OVC Player of the Week Monday. Moses, a native of Advance, Mo. is the OVC Preseason Player of the YAer was 7-for-13 from the plate sporting a .538 batting average for the week. He also posted an outstanding on-base percentage of .684. for the week he compiled six runs scored, two doubles, two home runs and nine RBI as Southeast Missouri compiled a 3-1 record. Against Harris-Stowe on Tuesday he hit a three run homer that proved to be the game winner. He capped the week by going 3-for-4 with three runs scored, a double, home run and six RBI as Southeast toppled IPFW 26-7. Moses extended his hitting streak to 18 games and streak of reaching base safely to 27 contests.
Junior pitcher
Shae Simmons was named OVC Co-Pitcher of the Week. Simmons, a Scott City, Mo. native threw a career-best six innings and had a career-high nine strikeouts in Southeast Missouri's game against IPFW on Saturday. He allowed just one hit and no runs while walking three and hitting a batter.
