CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – The Southeast Missouri volleyball team heads to Murray State and Austin Peay this weekend for a chance to clinch the Ohio Valley Conference West Division title. The Redhawks face the Racers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Southeast will then head to Clarksville, Tenn. as they take on the Lady Govs at 4:30 p.m.

Series History
Southeast Missouri is 33-16 all-time against the Lady Govs. The Redhawks have won three straight matches against APSU after the Lady Govs won seven straight from 2008-10. Southeast Missouri is 46-21 all-time against the Racers. Murray State have won five of the last seven with the Redhawks taking two of the last three.

Brittney Kalinoski is averaging 2.57 kills per set ranking second on the Redhawks. She has recorded double-digit kills in 15 games this season for Southeast. She recorded a career-high 19 kills against Belmont earlier this season at Houck Field House.

Julie Shives were named Preseason All-Ohio Valley Conference by OVC coaches and sports information directors. Coon was named to Preseason All-OVC in 2011 and earned postseason All--OVC honors as well.
Preseason Polls
The Southeast Missouri volleyball team was picked third in the Ohio Valley Conference Preseason Poll. The Redhawks received 192 points and two first place votes in this season's poll. Morehead State the defending OVC Champions were picked to win the league with 242 points and 22 first place votes. Newcomer Belmont was picked second with 198 points after winning the Atlantic Sun Conference in 2011.
