Taryn Vanderpool will make her first appearance in an NCAA Regional Championship meet in two weeks. A native of Lenexa, Kan., Vanderpool learned this week that she is headed to the Norman (Okla.) Regional to compete in the all-around on Apr. 6. She ranks second out of the five individual gymnasts competing in the all-around. Vanderpool finished the regular season with an all-around Regional Qualifying Score (RQS) of 38.955, which ranks 13th among all gymnasts in the South Central Region. She competed in the all-around during all 11 of the Redhawks meets and scored 38.800 or higher in that competition six times.
