Savannah Carpenter hit .500 (8-for-15) with five runs scored, three doubles, a home run and six RBIs in seven starts last week. A native of Newbury Park, California, Carpenter hit safely in five of those starts. She hit a home run to help lead Southeast to a 10-1 victory over Jackson State (Mar. 15). Carpenter then began Ohio Valley Conference play by hitting .750 (6-for-8) with a pair of doubles, two runs scored and two RBIs during the Redhawks series win against Murray State (Mar. 19-20). She also had four walks, boasted an .875 slugging percentage and registered a .619 on-base percentage for the week.
