Nick Niemczyk came off the bench to score a team-high 14 points in Southeast Missouri's season-opener at No. 7 Kansas on Nov. 9. A native of Bell City, Mo., Niemczyk notched his first points of the season on a layup and buried a three-pointer on back-to-back possessions to pull Southeast to within eight midway through the first half. He shot 5-of-14 from the field and 2-of-2 at the free throw line, while grabbing one rebound and gathering three steals in 33 minutes against the Jayhawks.
