Rachel Rook threw a no-hitter with 12 strikeouts in Southeast Missouri’s opening win of the Hilltopper Classic against Central Michigan. Rook retired 20-straight and was perfect through 6.2 innings. CMU’s only baserunner of the game reached on a walk in the seventh inning. It was the second time Rook threw a no-hitter in her career and NCAA Division I softball’s ninth non-combined no-hitter this year. She tossed two complete games and struck out 25 in 19 innings, while going 2-1 for the week.
