Carli Knott won the women's 1,500 meters at Vanderbilt's Black and Gold Invitational Saturday in a Southeast Missouri track & field program-record time of 4:23.89. The mark surpassed Laura Byrne's time of 4:24.15 set in 1989. Knott took sixth in the 800 meters in 2:10.16. She also was a member of the SEMO 4x400 meter relay team with Kendall Long, Claire Morrill and Tayler Gudde that finished in 3:57.54 for seventh.
