Tesia Thompson was named the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament Most Valuable Player and to the OVC All-Tournament Team as Southeast Missouri women’s basketball captured the 2020 OVC Tournament Championship Saturday. Thompson scored 93 points (31.0 ppg) and had 30 rebounds (10.0 rpg). She posted two double-doubles in the three-day tournament and led the OVC in scoring, averaging 31.0 points per game and in assists (18). Thompson scored 29, 39, and 25 points, respectively. The 39 points during Friday’s game against Belmont was a tournament high.
